Great collection. I guess SGC made more sense than PSA with the prices. I would of liked to see what PSA would of graded a few of them at!
best video yet!!! I am a huge collector modern and vintage love seeing this you guys seem like really nice people. To help a older husband and wife like you did instead of just offering him say 40k was pretty cool. Whenever I hear "we are not in a recession" or "inflation is not that bad" from the people in politics I will think of this older couple.
Bro that’s awesome , that man knows how to take care of his things. Imagine all the disasters that happened while he transported those cards with him through it all . Every earthquake , termite rot, typhoons or hurricanes. The stood the test of time.💯👍🏽
I respect you guys so much for helping Glenn out he seems like a great guy and someone we'd all live to sit down and talk cards/baseball with. It's awesome that hou guys didn't take advantage of him..stand up!!

Another wonderful episode. This episode showed how fun and sentimental sports cards can be. I'm glad that this gentleman took such great care of his collection. Keeping them stored in a dark place for so many years helped them. I'm of Puertorican descent, seeing the Clemente's always brings joy to my face. He has been an icon for decades in the Latin community. I trust this collection will go to some wonderful people. May they continue to live in good hands as they did by their original owner.
I like to pull out my 1952 bowman mantle and cry a little because my uncle cut the corners when he was a kid. Not to mention basically the whole set he cut with some kind of business card template. Also he left me a diamond shaped Hank Aaron rc. I didn't know there ways anyone I could relate to on this.
Another goodie. I enjoy the dynamic between both Ty and Mike. It's oddly natural.
The variety is what I'm starting to really love about this show.

Glenn reminded me of my dad and grandfathers. My dad was ripped off of his collection by an ex-husband of a niece (his grand daughter). So I appreciate the transparency you offer these older folks.
I just went through this and am still going through this process with my dad. 35-40 years of collecting any and all sports cards and it's a massive under taking. So far I've been singling out known high value cards to sell and will hopefully revisit all the HUNDREDS of boxed sets he has in the garage in time.
To add- the reason for selling the cards will go towards their lack of retirement and medical bills.
consignment seems like so much more work.. I buy about 40 collections a year straight cash.. but I guess if your having cash flow problems it would be a good idea.

Loved the episode. Reminds me of my uncle. He had an entire collection like this and sold 15 years ago or so when things were not booming. I loved hearing his stories about the guys he collected and where he got the cards, too. Another great episode!

Chasing cardboard makes a very good argument for why it can be better to use SGC on many cards
