  • In this video I am replacing the clock spring on my 94 ford F150. This applies to Bronco as well! The horn was not working and the airbag light was flashing. It flashed three times then two time which signifies code 32.

    great video, thanks! This will be the 2nd one for my truck. 94 F150 bought it new with 8miles. Now has 391,000. Still on origianl E40D (Knock on wood) Right after I bought it, I put a trans cooler half the size of the rediator and a pan that holds 2 extra quarts with a drain plug. Drain and filled the trans every oil change and converted to synthetic early on. I've got a hard shift from 1 to 2 but that's been an issue for a while. It got much better when I found I nad a bad ground going to the starter. Not shere what it is now.
    I love the truck 4.9 6.

      Wow! Thats a lot of miles. I had an f-350 5.8 and E4OD with extra large B&M pan and a large cooler as well. It was a plow truck and I off roaded with it. Did not have your luck! I know the ground issues can be a big problem on all years with electric transmissions. Keep that sucker going strong, let us know what you find with the transmission! I had one recently that was the neutral safety switch wore out and made all sorts of strange shifts. Corrosion in the plug as well.

    Thanks for the video, im about to tackle this. Question, did your truck ever make any crazy “tones” prior to this. Not kidding, it sounds like dial up internet coming from my dash.

      @@EdcGuru03 no problem, glad you found it helpful. Dial up 😂 makin me feel old… umm, my old Sony stereos made some beep boop noises, other than that, if you have the original door buzzer they can get staticky in the end. The got replaced with a chime if they were ever replaced but they too could do that. Hopefully not an electrical short making that noise 😱

    Heyy, awesome video! I had a question, my 94 f150 has a code 34 airbag light, would that also been an issue of the clockspring?

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  Před 6 měsíci

      That’s what was going on here, if your horn doesn’t work that’s probably what’s going on, the only other thing would be the impact sensor I think up by the hood latch. Hope this helps!

    • @alexkoo7059
      @alexkoo7059 Před 6 měsíci

      Thank you! Ya well my horn works and everything but ya I think it might be the clockspring or the impact sensor. Thanks again!

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  Před 6 měsíci

      @@alexkoo7059 it is possible that the Clockspring contacts for the airbag might be bad and the horn still works. But yea, you’re in the right direction! Check all the plugs I showed first before disassembling, maybe one came loose!

    I have a airbag light constantly on and my horn goes off randomly could that be my clockspring too? Or would my horn going off randomly be electrical?

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  Před rokem

      Definitely sounds like Clockspring, does the horn just beep sometimes while turning the wheel? What kind of vehicle?

    • @kiaratarver3958
      @kiaratarver3958 Před rokem

      Dodge journey, and while I’m driving it’ll just be going off, or after I park my car. I just took the fuses out because I assumed it was the clockspring because my airbag light wasn’t on before until recently and once it cut on horns been acting stupid

      @@bryanbuilt360 I have a 09 there’s no recall on it 🥲 I think I might take it to a auto electrician to see if it’s something electrical before I spend 400 on a clockspring
