    I got out of prison and had to be homeless in downtown Orlando while my home was completed in Polk Co. I had money just no home yet. I found a cool place under an overpass off Orange Ave. By the train tracks. Nobody really bothered me or messed with me.

      @@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Actually a lot of people offered to buy me food and drinks. But like I said, I had money so it wasn't needed. Being homeless stinks, but sometimes you'll see the good side of humanity.

    Back in 2010 when I was still a kid our family was vacationing in Florida and we went to see a Magic game at the Amway Center. We were looking for somewhere to park our car and ended up getting kind of lost in this neighborhood and I remember it looking sketchy and being a bit scared. We're from Finland where we don't really have any truly dangerous neighborhoods so it came as a surprise to us that you could have such a sketchy area right next to a major stadium.

    This is not the worst neighbors in Orlando. I first lived in Paramore in 1986. Alot of the things in your video wasn't there then. I moved back to the same area in 2016 and watched the soccer stadium be built and the downtown UCF campus built also. There are worst neighbors in Orlando then Parromore...

  • @QinahBahtIsrael
    @QinahBahtIsrael Před 9 měsíci +1

    So I currently live in parramore since May 2023. For the most part it’s people living in a shitty environment that’s gentrified and they’re trying their best to survive. When you look into the history of parramore it was the segregated side of Orlando that was designated for blacks to live in . They have a road titled division which literally shows the division of where black people can be murdered for crossing the line which today is your former downtown lake eola area . Ironically … not much has changed . The building structures in parramore are horrible and have that cinderblock wall interior , which makes you feel like a prisoner or animal in a cage . Now imagine what the people must go through psychologically? Not only architecturally is it depressing and depleting but also the areas over police and many police officers get away with murdering people just last week September 28, 2023 a sister was lynched from a tree back in 2020 there was a brother who was lynched as well, and it’s very under reported because the police department has authority to silence certain stories from getting out.
    Now the most lovely thing I’d love you as the reader to consider is “how do these poor people get access to these drugs in order to shoot up and sell ? “
    Last time I checked crack and fentanyl etc is made in a lab and black people are great but we don’t have these labs or even the funds to create these drugs …. Sooo …. How is it getting to the hood with a high homeless population?
    Rather than just be ignorant and call it, “the most dangerous neighborhood in Orlando “and drive around in the neighborhood to observe these people as if their animals ask yourself how did this area become what it is today ?what historically took place on these grounds?
    Even the black churches that have been there a lot of them have been burned down and built over.

    Compared to a brazilian big city slum where I came from, Parramore is a paradise. You see people walking in the streets there, people are kind and humble, there's a sense of comunity you don't see in places like Metrowest or Dr. Phillips, where you barely know your neighbors. I don't think criminality there is such a big problem. The location is great. Close to downtown. I miss Parramore

  • @ajjavier95
    @ajjavier95 Před rokem +1

    This is not that bad. In the real hood, the buildings are falling apart, covered in tagging, trash to be spotted on front yards and sidewalks. Try skid row L.A or Overtown Miami, both gentrified cities where the homeless pitch tents across the street from the affluent at the same area apartment units rent for a 1 bedroom is $4k/month minimum. Many suburbs of Orlando will be found empty on a weekday evening. Might be helpful to point out some statistics on crime rates from Orlando, this zip code specifically and compare to other cities for a reference on what the “hood” is. Check Jacksonville for example.
