Off road tip: if you don't have lockers on an axle that has a spinning wheel, stay on the gas in a controlled manner if you have traction assisting modes. If you don't have fancy modes, no lockers, and spinning wheels, you are not screwed yet. Drag the brakes and apply more throttle. The spinning wheel will stop, and the traction wheel will turn, and you will move forward. Drag braking. It's what we used on Humvees. I hope they helps.
I keep seeing people stopping before the computer can do its job, and giving up without understanding how their low tech rig truly works. My grandpa didn't have Mud and Rut mode on his IH Scout buried to the axles in a field. Guuuuuu!

Hey man. I'm a subscriber and I've been catching up on your video's. Well done and keep it going dude. I've got a 2020 FX4 Ranger and I absolutely love it. I'm running 285's on it with a 2" leveling puck in the front from Ford on a bone stock suspension but I'm going to install the Fox 2.0 package this year. I've got a tune on it from 5 Star Tuning which makes it kind of scary when I put the pedal down (squawks the tires in first, second, and third easily. sometime in fourth). I have the Roush cold air intake installed on it also. Anyway, love the videos and keep them coming... Cheers from Canada!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I have a 2019 Ford Ranger and just finished a 5 days trip on the Mohave Trail. I have a question about the white truck with the rear mounted spare tire. I have been looking for one so I can move my spare tire to put an air compressor. Matt.
Cameras just don't do that terrain justice. Would love some trails out here like that in the Vegas desert 😄

What are the detail on the white ranger with the lights mounted in the factory bumper. never seen that before, it looks like a pretty clean set up.
if your taking about the one from the beginning segment that went through the mud, I believe you can buy those mounts from a few different companies online. Its a 2wd as well with atterain tires. Very simple but as you can see , Affective!

Hopefully I'll be in the market soon, and will be looking at midsize trucks. I'm really interested in this Ranger platform. I've seen a lot if videos on people who like thier Rangers. However, it would be good to hear some owner perspectives on the weak points of these platforms. Not to trash talk the trucks, but things owners have found that could be improved. Personally, one of the biggest issues I have is that Ford doesn't offer a 6 foot bed. I want a truck to have fun in but I also need the functionality of the longer bed that Toyota, GM and Nissan offer .
