This should be shown in elementary, middle school, high school and college. Their should be class about how bad the plastic garbage is affecting our oceans, seas and environment in general. Replace CRT classes with environmental classes based on truth and data.
YES!!
No, make congress watch this on a loop until they get it.
It is an infinitesimal number of people who have ever had a CRT class. This needs to be taught on a much grander scale than that.
Unfortunately, it'll never happen.
Why?
Because nobody actually gives a shit.
At least, nobody that has power anyway.
It takes people like this woman to actually do anything.
And NOBODY like her exists in positions of power.
We, are killing ourselves, it's just a matter of time at this rate.
Enjoy life while you have it, experience nature while it's still there.
The future can only be bright, if something changes, and in reality, nothing ever changes until it's too late, or damn near it.
Yes. Let’s make garbage into larger garbage
"Disgustingly ugly"
transforms into
something beautiful,
yet leaves my heart
filled with sadness
Seriously!!! How is this allowed to go on!?! Thanks Mike and Angela foe for educating us!! Knowing is power!
The way those nurdles "find their way" into the ocean, is not only via consumer irresponsability, but also by corporate negligence. We should hold corporations accountable for the massive amounts of waste they dump into our rivers, streams, and waterways.
Corporations don't have anything to do with this problem. The oceans trash comes from China and India along with other countries that do not have a waste management system in place. Have you seen the mountains of garbage in the rivers of third world countries? All that makes its way downstream and right into the ocean.
The USA is a Third World country and YES, I've seen rivers of waste there. @@glenjamindle
Mike you are a national treasure. The CZcams channel makes us feel even closer to you. Its obvious you see the troubles our beloved country is heading to and want to save it.
#MIKE ROWE FOR PRESIDENT 2024
Good for her! Many years ago my 4H club made pictures from beach trash. One got a grand champion!
She is an inspiration!!!
Idk whether to cry seeing all that garbage or cheer that there is a beautiful person on this earth making things of beauty out of our trash ❤❤❤
Stop crying and make art. As my late grandfather would say, "Do something, you'll feel better." I'm gonna give it a try, it's why I'm watching.
Well said. ❤
Now she is a true hero to the environment!!!
We collect up other peoples trash shame the things that people throw away. I commend this women what a joy to see something like this ❤❤❤
Love this episode 😍, thank you to all those volunteers that help.
My family visited this place a few years ago. We saw the art, visited the gallery, and came away inspired to do our part.
Thank you for sharing
The world needs more people like her!!!!!
Mike I’ve been a big fan ever since Dirty Jobs. However this show you do now is much better than Dirty Jobs, keep up the great work!!
This series ended back in 2018
This show has been over for awhile, he's back doing Dirty Jobs lol

Bless you for trying to help save the environment
This is amazing! I am so happy that Mike is covering people this passionate on saving oceans. Mike you are awesome and so entertaining.
I had the chance to view the art at the Wichita Botanical Gardens... they are a wonderful thing to experience...
She should be consulting with every aquarium in the United States to bring these displays to the masses 😮
Thank you for bringing attention to this horrific problem. God bless you Angela for everything you do. ❤
This is inspiring. Only a couple hours from me and I had no idea.
Such a great idea. I really should do something similar. I can do art with the trash in my area. Gotta devise a plan. A good plan at that.
I can't imagine that I would do something so inspirational if I lost my husband. It has nearly happened several times and I have lifted him up each time, so I could hope.
Nice, Love the support for cleaning & protecting wildlife while creating art that focuses on wildlife & making people smile while making the world a better place. Keep this type content coming Mike, everyone contributing & crew...
How her face lit up when you were talking about how on point she was. Keep up the good fight!
Finally, some doing something we can relate to.❤
Mike, she is remarkable... good stuff!
GO ANGELA! You are the WOMAN to lead the new generation, and some of the older ones too…to the new clean ocean reality! Thank you for coming up with these new, horribly, and wonderful grotesque symbols of how to save the world ! I applaud you and your helpers. I wish we had such people and centres in Australia 🇦🇺 to do just what you are doing. We certainly have the trashed up beaches, that’s for sure. And thank you Mike Rowe and crew for sharing this marvellous story with your fans all over the world.
❤️🦘🇦🇺
Yet another story about brilliant people doing magical things. Thank you, Mike!
Angela, what a wonderful lady, along with her supporters.
loved the talk with the boy. Its a showing moment of the show. Well done editors.
Holy Sh*t!! A very amazing woman. What she does with trash is incredible. She definitely has a vision and a wonderful talent.
What I found amazing is that she can turn all this trash into this incredible art and I can screw up a stick figure.
What we dump in our oceans concerns me much more then climate change! Thanks for what you are doing!❤
It contributes to climate change
God Bless this beautiful soul she is the kind of teacher that this world could use more of. The impact of the art work that she and her volunteer force are making far exceeds that of anyone who uses a brush. Thanks Mike for sharing this treasure with us.
Beautiful piece from trash to treasure and educational. Not to mention the truth about people behind this idea from the founder down to each volunteer. Recycle. Resilient. Focused. Fantastic.
Thanks Mike!
Beautiful yet horrifying..,
Thank you ! Wonderful awareness video! As a 5th grader (1962) in Scottsdale AZ we learned an anti-litterbug song & went to a Phx TV station to film it. What a wonderful way to incorporate a message & have a great memory to back it up. I need to stop buying plastics now.
I've been to Bandon many times, why have I never seen this place before??
She's amazing!!
Thank you for your effort and insight to educate us on the problem you are very special .
My mother was born in Bandon, close to a century ago. I've never been there. Nice to see this and get an idea of the town she came from. And I do love this lady's art!
The many sad things humans don't understand is our food chain… ie:fish, and meat are now also consuming plastic particles, then we consume them. And Then we get catastrophic illnesses. I recently read medical articles that stated we are now finding microscopic pieces of plastic in the Human Brain… We really need to stop All plastic production. Let's get back to my grandparents era… food was all grown and things came in bags made of cotton products, (bags) or tin cans and glass jars. It worked for our ancestors. IT SHOULD WORK FOR US!
What a fantastic lady and followers! I can't find the appropriate words, but kudos to all involved and thank you for showcasing her cause and all their talents!
Such talent and eye, to see the art in all that trash. Good for her team.
Seriously! U 2 can turn trash into treasure!!
I couldn't ❤️ this more...❤❤❤❤❤
Kudos Mike and Crew!
I also found art during a dark time in my life. Thanks to Angela and all the other bloody do gooders here in the PNW who turn tragedy into art and art into activism. 🌲🐿🍄
Well that's pretty 😍 neat 🥰. Very different 🎨 art. How cool is that. Thanks 👍 for sharing.
Thanks Guys
Wow,That's An Incredible Lady.
Shining light on this is very needed.
Thanks Mike. Before mom died, we went on a whale watch with the whale wars crew. Incredible not just what was floating but also just there on the rocks on shore. The plastic epidemic is worse than opiates because it affects all walks of life, not just ours. Keep up your amazing work of awareness.
Whoo-hoo! So love this one!
This truly is fantastic
Hey Mike, well done!
That was the best video!
Thank you ❤
Another home run Mike, thanks!
They have actually got a programme in work now that is collecting the plastics from the sea. The program is being carried out by ocean cleanup
Incredible
this is amazing
Great work!
I love it!! Thanks Mike!!
I made a workbench with wood that I found washed up on the beach down by Galveston. It is a very awesome looking workbench!!!
Keep the "verticality" going y'all ♥️✌️♥️
That was Amazing😢❤❤❤
This one was pretty good Mike. Nicely done
Rocked it
Mr Rowe , you should check out the Frying Pan Tower off the cost of NC , Richard has been working on it for years, trying to keep it from rusting away.
I love all your stuff. Peace in a all we need
I loved this!❤
😓😓🤗🥰🥰🤣 Inspiring. Great lady. Keep it up Mike!
Wonderfulness ❣️👍
❤
If the world was only filled with more people like her n you mike. Doesn't matter where I go whether it's to the beach, trail or a walk thru town theres trash,it does make me sick.
Mike needs to come to Bali if he wants all the garbage he can handle... it's everywhere, all the time, land and sea, creeks, rivers, streams & roads... and now it's burning in a 5 day ongoing fire in Benoa because it was 'accidentally' started...
BS, this is how Gov't Community leaders brainstorm an idea into action and then ask for more assistance when it gets out of control, people start complaining and have half the island is choking on toxic fumes the Gov't paid someone to start
I love everything about this, made my night :)
Ya, and how filthy Portland is too!
As an entrepreneur environmental teacher……Angela has great ideas😊
That is very beautiful
It'd be nice if we picked up the garbage that's all over the ground around us too
Yay! He’s close to me!!!
The UGLY TRUTH is that we put out our full recycle bins only to find out that that the company is not recycling what is in the bin or that it it being transported in an irresponsible way. These companies need to be prosecuted
Yepp we are trashing this Planet 🌎! Gawd help us all!
If only every person stopped buying so much plastic and started picking it up from beaches, waterways and our environment, imagine how many creatures, humans included, we could prevent from ingesting this abomination of the industrialised age. A sad but wonderful teaching tool that needs to be seen by all, if for no other reason, than to motivate.
Fantastic
Some put a message in a bottle. Angela puts a bottle in a message.
What a great sad to happy ending to this story❤✌🙏
Finally, GOOD NEWS 😊
We need to start using plastic for fuel like the Danish and Norwegians do.
There is almost the same amount of energy in plastic as there is in oil.
The company's that produce the plastic products are the ones that need to change. Consumers can stop buying, but they can't change what companies produce in the first place.
Actually the environmentalists who are most vocal about plastic pollution are the people causing it. The most efficient and direct way to dispose of all plastics, paper, cardboard, newspapers, etc. is to burn it in high-temperature incinerators that then use the heat to produce electricity. It is done in my town in Massachusetts and Sweden is the world leader in this technology. This process would eliminate most of the plastic waste that ends up in the environment while producing the most valuable energy resource of all - electricity. But environmentalists are vehemently opposed to trash-to-energy plants and so we have more and more trash in our environment.
That's a bandaid fix for a larger problem...everything is packaged in plastic. Go look at your garbage at the end of the week. It's all plastic packaging.
Apparently Chinese factories dump their scraps in the ocean and we keep buy their products.
Vary cool
1) "Education" and "Raising Awareness", or the lack thereof, is not the solution or the cause of littering. All of that stuff was was carelessly discarded by people who were educated, aware and knew what they were doing, but didn't care. 2) 100% of the piles of stuff floating in the Pacific would not change 1 bit if 100% of the people in the USA were caring and diligent in how they dispose of things and did not litter. That's because all of that came from other countries and cultures. They also know better, but simply don't care either.
Most of the trash that washes up on our beaches is not from us. China and India are causing these massive ocean trash islands.
Yay for angelia your awesome thank you
Bandon.... Oregon??
Maybe I missed it but what was Frank's role?
What a lovely lady! Her husbands misdiagnosis is very sad
Amazing how our creativity amazes us. Ty creator God, Yahweh.
If she learned how to recycle her own plastic, I’m sure she could make works of art that would be even more astounding
Looks like a public kindergarten classroom
