I've been following Lakadaisy since there were comic webrings or dedicated pages with links to other comics the authors/artists supported/recommended. Its the best and very excited about its animated adaptation
I loved the dialogue of Lacksdaisy also, it's natural for its time period, it feel actually mature, it doesn't feel like it's written by a edgy teen. I love almost all the characters and whats interesting is that Tracy states that No one is a good guy, even the main characters yet she made them so lovable to root for them.
I’m fairness it’s ability to do this is funding. Not just the funding it the fact it was privately funded. The animation industry makes it quite hard to do this sort of thing.
I dont think you know what filler episodes are. Filler episodes are just that. Filler. Nothing happens backwards or forward, and the story is just on hold until it decides to move again. What you want is episodes with character development, which hazbin hotel has plenty of. in the 8 episodes hazbin hotel was given, almost everyones changed in some way, i mean just look at angel and charlie.
The comics were great I just hope it’s a solid adaptation and story line it felt very loose with the comics which I didn’t have a problem with cause the art was just so good and the story interesting
HH was unsure if they'd get a second season, hence the lack of character development in the first season. With HB, we know Viv can flesh out characters and give people a reason to adore each one of them, so I'm hoping season 2 will give us more episodes focused on the main casts rather than the plot
Hazbin hotel was surprisingly underwhelming. Helluva boss is way better IMO. The characters are just so much more developed, to the point where you actually sympathize with them. Hazbin hotel is well animated, but it just doesn't come close. It was honestly kinda disappointing. I watched the pilot for lackadaisy, and I liked it. The animation was great and I liked the old style of the characters from the prohibition era. It didn't become one of my favorites, but it's good.

Every other indie cartoon is cool but this one is what I’m looking forward to when it drops the first episode
Helluva Boss (especially s2) is doing exactly this and I love it! This show looks great

As an anime fan the fact that people want filler is baffling

My dad and I didn't make it through the first episode because the cat with the violin was so annoying. Is it worth going back and trying again?
Yes, if you hate the intro that much, skip the intro because the rest of it is really good.
