In my opinion it is because the show has no identity whatsoever. You say the name Regular show and immediately people think of a blue jay reject working at a park with his raccoon friend. You think of Close Enough and nothing in particular should come to mind, there is nothing noteworthy about the show.

If Elon ever funded a show on Twitter he would probably want it to be some sci-fi series and not a boring ass….”comedy”….about politics.

I guess part of the reason I never really enjoyed close enough as much as regular show because I've never really mentally matured past adventure time's target age range, I related so hard to regular show it felt like they based the show on my life but close enough feels like any other sitcom

They cancelled the show before season one was finished, and the show really only got popular near the end of one and the start of two, so they didn’t know. Undoubtably a fumble but an understandable one

The show flipped the script where in the earlier episodes rigby was the terrible character wheras whilst by the end of the show he is arguably redeamed and changed for the better while mordecai gets worse and he put CJ through an abusive relationship were he constantly cheated on her and while it was on accident at first he later broke up with CJ for Margret (margret btw is also a terrible character for other reasons) TLDR -Rigby gets better mordecai gets worse + he abuses CJ.

Unpopular opinion but Mordecai is just as bad as Rigby in “It’s Time”. Like when we stop and think about the inciting incident of the episode it’s them doing the exact same thing. One person buys 2 tickets to the movies and is dead set on going with a specific person. Neither one actually asked the person they want to go with if they were cool with it prior to buying the tickets. Both Mordecai and Rigby act selfish after not getting their way. They both even tried to kill each other because of the situation. There’s no amount of “he loves her” that justifies his actions.

People blame mordecai for the whole CJ and Margaret thing, and yes that was bad. But flash back to the episode I like you hi. Mordecai admits that he doesn't want to date CJ because he's not over Margarett and he doesn't want to put CJ through that. But everybody tells mordecai to just get with CJ anyways and LOOK WHAT HAPPDENED. MORDECAI KNEW THAT HE SHOULDNT AND GOT GASLIGHTED INTO IT
