- I returned to one of my favourite fishing spots in Lincoln National Park, near Port Lincoln, South Australia for a 4 day solo camping and fishing trip at the end of September 2022. The weather had been forecast as wet and windy early in the week but clearing after a couple of days, so my hopes of catching some quality fish were pinned on this window of improvement later on. Although the big salmon again largely eluded me, I did catch a good number of fish and had a great time doing it!

Very good
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Great footage! Will be there someday.
Thanks!
Great video Frank, thanks for sharing.
You're welcome Glen, had a good time despite the weather at the start.
Btw Glen, I have been in contact with both Robbie and Rohan and am planning to meet up with them in about a month in Vic - assuming that there is still any land above water after the rain event this week.
@@captainfrank01 Awesome Frank. I look forward to seeing the results. There sure is a lot of water around at the moment. Cheers.
Just be very careful on them rocks Frank.
Always careful! That is a tricky spot to get to though, you don't want to slip!
@@captainfrank01 I found little carp spot. At Marson lakes a few big ones and little baby ones swimming around but didn't get to catch them.
Could you do a video of your rigs and how to set up your rigs? It's really good to see a SA fisherman CZcams channel as it is very hard to find because everyone is doing it in Melbourne.
Good idea, might do that!
Very nice.
Those campsites look excellent.
Thanks for the video.
You're welcome, yes, I was impressed with the campsites too (but not the price @ $20pp/pn)
@@captainfrank01 Yeah it's a fair ask when there's not a lot of facilities and you have to pay the park pass as well afaik.
We're heading down to Deep Creek again soon and the Stringybark campground fees are $25 pn but at least you get hot showers, flushing toilets etc.
Look at the prices for cabins in caravan parks these days.
Damn.
@@oldbloke204 Yeah, Stringbark at Deep Creek is good - the first campsite in Lincoln NP was packed gravel and had a long drop toilet, but the second was solid limestone and no facilities at all - same price, go figure. I've had my say on their feedback email. I get an annual Parks Pass every year because I'm out so much, so that isn't an issue as long as I make sure I visit at least 6 parks a year to cover the cost!
@@captainfrank01 Not sure if you're into deserts but the Big Billy Bore campground just out of Murrayville in Vic. is very very good and still free afaik.
The old army tanks at Murrayville are worth a look as well.
Great toilets, mains and bore water, great cooking facilities etc.
We stayed there after doing the Border Track and were very impressed with it all.
Planning on heading back for a bit when we can co ordinate it all.
Cheers.
Another great video Frank with some good results. Still havnt got over to Lincoln N Put but will soon I hope.
Thank you, for a change I did quite well. You should get over there, it's well worth the effort.
