    Great video. Nice to see an unboxing experience that didn’t go to plan. Love how you both remained calm throughout the process and great to see that it all turned out positive in the end.
    Should have seen me when my less expensive coffee machine stopped working during the holidays.
    You have a gentle and natural style of presenting. Would love to see more videos about this machine and your coffee journey.

    It was helpful seeing how someone with patience and self control handled these obstacles. I just ordered a Profitec Pro 600 today. Having a complete lack of patience myself, I may need to channel some of your Zen when it arrives.

      hahaa thank you so much for your kind words, it can definitely be frustrating to deal with when you've been looking forward to it for weeks but, hey, it wasn't going to fix itself and there are plenty of resources out there in the community to make it work - anyways, I'm sure yours will be fine, the Profitec Pro 600 is amazing when it's working right, and it's been great for us since we posted this video!

      Thank you kindly, we are definitely noticing a difference from our lelit mara x that we left behind; the profitec is a much more efficient machine, but it's the difference in taste that stands out, granted we are using different beans now but it's incredible how varied the results are from one machine to another!

      Honestly it was quite an easy fix, seems like it happens quite often in transit - I hope you pull a "god shot" on your first try though😁😇

    I find the machine super interesting. Can you say whether there is an offset/difference between the temperature displayed on the PID control and the effective brewing temperature? In other words, can it be the case that I get 94 degrees Celsius displayed on the PID ex works, for example, but actually only brew at 91 degrees Celsius, for example?

      Hi Oliver, thank you for this interesting question! Judging from the quality of the extraction I'm inclined to say that there is no offset, the quality is very consistent but I have to admit I've actually never checked the effective brewing temperature - how do you test for that?

    While I do agree that it’s good to familiarize yourself with your machine to be able to make any necessary repairs in the future, but if I’m spending over $2k on a machine I’m not dealing with any of that the first day. I would’ve just sent it back or make them send in a tech free of charge.

      I totally agree, we called them a few times but seeing as we were in a different city, they didn't have any technicians available, so my husband ended up spending the afternoon hunting for plastic tubing 🤭we'd already send it back once and half expected the same thing to happen again, even if they would've sent a third machine, so we had to find a way to make it work

      We were starved for caffeine 🤭and we had already waited for 3 weeks to get the second machine😮‍💨we had no choice but to be patient lol

    That’s not the newest model. They sent you the older pro 600 model. It should have the joystick steam nozzles.

      Yeah the Profitec pro 600 when it first came out had the round steam knobs.
      In your video you had mentioned that the foam insert was white instead of black like your 1st machine you received and could also explain why it seemed so dusty. It probably has been sitting in the warehouse for a while. I just hate seeing customers get defective products or products that have been sitting around. You should look for a date of manufacturing code on the box or the machine or may be in the serial number.

      I think you're absolutely right, it does seem like this machine is not as new as the one we received at first; this seems to happen quite a bit for niche products in Canada, there aren't that many buyers and sellers, so we are kinda stuck with what they give us, as there aren't many alternatives, especially now that we are living in Alberta, the Toronto-based businesses seem so far out of reach and they are less inclined to provide follow-up service unless there is significant backlash on social media, which doesn't necessarily seem warranted in this case lol but we'll definitely be more vigilant in the future, thank you for your acute observations! @@user-rg8vo2jy9v
