    just thought i'd let you know
    the gap on the sills is for the rain water to drain away that is what the gap is for its not a manufacturing fault
    as for the sound knob its for the passenger to control the sounding switch tracks and give them something to do
    good video though
    i have just bought one

    Enjoyable review. Current TTRS owner. Previous MK2 TTS owner. Great cars. I'll not pick up an MK3, but only because I desire something more focused. Moved into 911 territory and its going to be a one way move. No turning back now! For the price they sell TTS and TTRS.. its a smash hit. Getting something that behaves much better requires double the entry fee. In that regard these cars can't be beat.

      Hi, which one beteen the s and rs would you suggest, regardless of purchase price and maintenace costs? Is the rs much better than the s for a daily usage for a driver lover?

    • @rust3dsteel
      @rust3dsteel Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@luigipisante7874 I liked the TTS better as a sports car, because it's a bit lighter in the nose. The manual gearbox in the TTRS is not a very pleasant manual to drive. A TTRS with DSG would be great as a daily.
      To be honest though, a 997.2 911 is much more of a joy to drive and own than either a TTS or TTRS. I've had my 2011 Carrera GTS for 7 years now and I much prefer the feedback of it as a driver.

      @@rust3dsteel I guess you are right, although porsche 911 is a bit less understatement. I was looking for a nice to drive, good image and weel built sport car, my first choice would be the 911 too ... hoping the tts would be a good compromise

    • @rust3dsteel

    Thanks for review you were quite honest and just about everything you said. I just bought a used 2017 tt. It had tremendously good care and feels like a brand new car and looks like it inside and out. Finish is outstanding. The car is quick. I am doing an ECS and TCS upgrade very soon. Will put me 40 horsepower more than the TTS. One hint, when driving your volume was way too low and I found myself stretching to try to hear what you're saying. Need to speak up quite a bit more. Would recommend this car to anyone. As the Brits would say it is brilliant. I have absolutely no complaints inside or out. I've had six Porsches before this and I find this car a lot more fun to drive. Keep up the good work and thanks again

    You taught me a few more things about the ttS internals that I did not know, Big thank you for that. Audi has done a piss poor job at getting these to the dealers in the US as such you still have to pay full invoice for them so $58 grand for the TTS loaded, As much as I love the new Cayman they offer no back seal, little luggage space , the Audi back seats are small but have proven perfect for emergency transport of people and the Hatch is just about capable of carrying anything , the other day I bought (2) 27 inch apple iMacs and everyone said i would not fit and I could have put 3 of them inside , the car has a lot of hidden gems that really pay for themselves. The other thing is the sound of the TTS is really on par with a cayman 6 cylinder engine compared to the 718 Cayman engine noise that has less growl. Audi should get some awards that they may not even be aware of yet. Ohhh and the little volume switch for the passenger is to let them no they alive and to Mute the Music so they can talk to you when you are blasting the Bang .

      mk3 > mk2 in terms of the newer exterior lighting tech, seats, center console storage, gauge cluster, and HVAC controls. you'll have all that when updating a decade-old design.

    I don't understand how anyone can happily spend over 20 grand for a car....I have never spent over 4 for a car and only buy at auction. Keep.my cars up to 7 years and never experienced expensive repairs the last 4 cars.....I can build a house in another country for less then 20 grand....crazy price for a car that devalues very quickly and is considered past it at 100,000 milage

      spence22 I see. I'm a bit confused what the LED pack is for as it says that it creates ambient lighting. The comfort and sound pack doesn't even state anything about the LED's
