This is so inspirational to me! Looks like I'm gonna get my first journaling bible 😁
I started Bible journaling about 6 months ago shortly before I was diagnosed with cancer. Not only has my journaling become a passion for me, I am addicted to my Bible and God's Word. Never in my life have I craved my Bible and the lesson the Lord plans for me. In Psalm 98:4 and Psalm 100:1 we are told to make a joyful NOISE unto the Lord. Nothing is mentioned about singing beautifully or in tune. We are to be JOYFUL unto the Lord. The key here is JOYFUL! Anytime we are JOYFUL with our time with our Lord, we are brought closer to Him, and for that, I am convinced that brings Him happiness and JOY. Additionally, I purchased an interleaved Bible specifically for journaling. You can create without interference with your printed Word. Keep in mind, our Creator is an artist. He creates all of the time. We are not duplicating His work, we are celebrating it by giving Him Glory in everything we say and do.

I really enjoyed your video and you have inspired me to commit to this art form. As a fellow "revering perfectionist" I discovered this art form today and immediately began thinking that I could never pain on my bible in fear of messing up. Your idea of permission pages was awesome. I'm looking forward to learning more about this art/devotion form and beginning my very own journal.

New sub. This is new to me...but I am loving it! I am such a perfectionist, I would probably go insane. So hearing what you said in the beginning has helped me. Encouraging! I struggle with black and white words on paper... And since my husbands death I've struggled more with maintaining quiet times too. I've done a bit of this style stuff with collage, in journalling, and maybe a verse for a wall here and there, but never thought to include the Bible or use bits of it this way to meditate on Gods word. I'm deeply encouraged.

Hi. I would just like to say thank you, for your videos have inspired me to make art pieces for my mom. Both her and I have faced really hard times and, although she has been getting better faster than I, she still has “PTSD”. Again, thank you, I think that this will really help her.
I found this video in Pinterest and I had to check it out. I loved it so creative and colorful. Imma have to try this with my bible. Maybe in the future you can make a tutorial about what to do with our old bibles and still look nice. Thank u and God bless!!

And I actually just discovered a really easy way to do something called "tip-ins" where you insert a thin page into your Bible (which would be perfect for a Bible without the margin space), so you can look out for tutorial on that coming sooooon!
I loved this and want to do it. But I like the idea of doing a journal of my own with my bible aside of it because I want to do fiber art and if I did the journaling in a 3 ring binder I could sew the fabric and words onto the page. This video has inspired me.

For those of us who are not as creative as you, but still enjoy coloring... ;) i actually have "My Creative Bible" that I got off of Amazon. its basically partially illustrated already with words and images that you can color in but there is still plenty of space to create your own. I would love to eventually get to a place where i can have a free-for-all in my bible, but I'm not quite there yet. I LOVE what you've done!

i know this is an old video, but I want to thank you. I am very anxious about starting my journaling even though it's been something i've been praying on for a little over a year. You said so many things that seemed like you knew I was going to be watching. Right now i'm scoping out my journaling bible and so far "NLT Inspire Bible: The Bible for Creative Journaling" Half of the reason I like it is because of how large it is, even though traveling with it may be difficult i know i want a bible that I can still read without squinting and straining my eyes (as i have extremely poor vision)
I have felt like God is telling me that he wants all of me. And the one thing I haven't used to glorify him is my art. So, I think it's time to start this journey.

This is a beautiful form of art that I feel could be totally taken into other forms of worship as well. I am not a follower of Christ, however I am drawn to this form of beauty and reverence. Your pages are stunning and inspiring and really give me ideas about how to pull in my own practices, faith and journey into texts and devotionals. I have a few bibles of my own.

I also thought i will never will be able to do this I'm not an artist. today It came to mind what i saw the other. day of course i had to look it up on utube I came accross ur channel abd I'm so glad. U give permission not to be perfect or an artist. I'm going to buy a journalin bible and start my own journey into this fantastic new worshing scription learning way. thank you, thank you.
I love your ideas and layouts. Do u use the gesso? I have seen where people use gesso to prep the pages so that nothing bleed through.
