Gr8 vid very interesting. I have owned a Garrard GT 20 (manual)since the early 80`s and have been looking for a service vid for a long time .l suspect the auto return is bearing down on the table speed .Mine has been spot on.I was very surprised to see a Japanese motor l wanted a made in England table. I found out later the Japanese bought out English tech firms when they hit hard times mainly for the name they thought a British name was more acceptable to the public.Its a solid table capable of a much cartridge ,set up right there's no distortion and music sounds great
Thanks for the comments. I've been listening to this one for quite a bit and it sounds great even with the old cartridge and stylus. The new belt and speed "adjustment" have brought it back to original performance. The motor may be Japanese but the table itself was made in England, at least that's what is printed on the turntable.
