i am very confuse about the sun I mean some say its plasma some say its a gas giant and it cant be both since they are two different elements so what is it exactly, a gas giant or a plasma ball
@@ariaglobesolutions I mean. Technically it's both. Because a plasma is an ionised gas so there is likely some amount of gas and plasma. Like how a cloud is both water vapour and liquid water droplets.
So it is both. But because of the large amounts of energy from the fusion reactions taking place and ionising the gasses it is more composed of plasma than gas. I've probably got some of that wrong but I haven't done much astrophysics, I'm mainly mechanics lol.

Thinking in ways like that always helps me start to grasp the cosmic scale of things. You are right though, it is incredibly difficult to actually imagine this stuff and when you do it can be quite overwhelming, at least that has been my experience.
