Magnesium Nitride from Magnesium and Nitrogen

I make magnesium nitride by heating magnesium in an atmosphere of nitrogen.

Those kind of stains could perhaps be cleaned by letting it soak in sodium- or calciumhypochlorite for example for about an hour perhaps.

You should make iron sulfide. It's a very interesting compound. Make sure you don't mix it with HCl though, hydrogen sulfide would form.
