Hey! .. I'm from Uruguay and I have a good friend from Honduras! come visit first before you move in.. Definitely, Uruguay is a good place.. relaxed and quiet. It could be boring for some people..But if you are looking for a quiet life..Pick Colonia..you are very close from Montevideo..and a couple of hours away from Buenos Aires by ferry.. If you like beaches.. go to the east... Rocha or Maldonado..Piriapolis my fav place. ..if you really want peace.. anywhere in the center of Uruguay. l

There is a difference...you can reside in a country, with a residency permit, but not have a passport or the right to vote or work there, for example. Uruguay's application process for citizenship is brief. Uruguay has the added benefit of recognizing multiple citizenships, too.

The income requirement for residency is $6000 a year ($500 a month). That's one of the lower amounts required for residency in the region. But then again, you should first do some research and visit to make sure, it's the right place for you.
