SKIRMISH ON THE HOME FRONT (Excerpts)

Here are some excerpts from a 1943 propaganda short. Harry W. Average's attitude is quite a contrast to the reluctant heroes AL usually played in his fictional films at the time.
I left out the narrator's explanation of wartime inflation as well as the description of the futuristic kitchen, even though they are quite amusing, in order to fit this into the space provided.
A fellow fan brought it to my attention that this short is available on an interesting DVD called "World War II Homefront" (thank you!). AL made at least one other film of this kind, LETTER FROM A FRIEND (1942), but I don't think it is available.
No copyright abuse intended, but if the owners mind, the video will be deleted, of course.
