Thumbs up if you're an Aussie watching this!
You did the vegemite perfectly, Kate! Alex put too much on. (Also you need butter!!!)
Arnott's are our leading biscuit brand, and Allan's are our leading lollie brand. And Smith's are our leading "chips" (crisps for you) brand.
We have Freddos here absolutely! I love Freddos.
Probably Twistie's are a very popular choice for chips, but we also love salt and vinegar, chicken, Doritos etc. Crinkle cut mostly, but also thin cut.
Anzac bikkies are for dipping in tea, in my opinion. They were invented in the World War to send overseas to our soldiers. They're made of rolled oats, sugar and coconut mostly.
It's pronounced M-eye-lo, like Alex said. You didn't put enough in, you need spoonfuls of it.
I thought UK choc was the same as Aus choc - we both have Cadbury Milk Chocolate.
And we all hate Hershey's chocolate. Tastes like vomit. (No offense Americans, truly. We just have different tastes.)

    • @amyt8780

The correct way in Australia to drink a cup of milo is to half fill the cup with milo, fill the rest with milk, stir it a little bit and get most of the milo up the top and eat the milo from the top. No one actually drinks Milo, we eat it - ask any Aussie!

Hershey’s chocolate, in fact all American chocolate is rubbish. Very different taste to Aussie and UK. When I first went to the US in the 8”’s I went to San Francisco and especially went to Ghirardelli to get chocolate. I was so disappointed by the taste. Hersheys as well. It’s not as sweet and creamy as Aussie Cadburys.

I'm Aussie and here are a few things to note:
    1. Twisties probably aren't the 'go to' packet but always love having them!
    2. Tiny Teddys are what you'd normally have as a treat in your school lunchbox.
    3. ANZAC stands for 'Australian and New Zealand Army Corps' and is like our national biscuit.
    4. Eucalyptus drops are good for when you are sick with a cold but some people just have them as a lollie.
    5. Caramelo koalas & tim tams are my absolute fav!
    6. Arnotts are a big company
    7. Milo never really dissolves. How I have it is I put heaps of scoops at the bottom of my glass then pour milk over it and scoop little bits up with a teaspoon from the bottom. It's a complex task haha!

    Australia food:
Twisties- kinda popular i guess but u can find them nearly in every food store
Tiny teddies- popular for packing in your lunchbox for school
Anzac biscuits- named after the Australian army from world war 1, we have a day called Anzac day which is when we like baking them.
Tim tams- really popular with millions of flavours people love them
Caramel koala- delicious not as popular i think idk what to say about them
Vegemite- a popular spread that u spread on toast or in a sandwhich, its very strong (gross by itself) but for me its delicious because im used to it
Milo- usually a breakfast drink that u mix with hot or cold milk I usually fill my cup half way until the milk is in lol
Aussie drops- idk what it is but eucalyptus is an Australian native plant
Fantails- its a toffee, hard, covered in chocolate treat (wrapped in yellow) but I LOVE FANTAILS DELICIOUS 😋
Mints- idk what to say but they are rlly good

2-Arnotts is one of the biggest biscuit company's here. They do all sorts of stuff and are widely known as the best.
3-Eucalyptus lollies are generally for when your sick. they are awesome for a sore throat.
4-Allens is a MASSIVE Australian lollie company.
5- try the TimTams with Coffee. bite two opposing corners and suck the coffee through like a straw, then eat the TimTam. 😲So good!!!

    1. Twisties at the big brand of chips but most people like them
    2. Arnotts is the big biscuit brand
    3. Cadbury is the most famous chocolate great just like England
    4. Eucalyptus drops Are like cough drops except they sell them at our school canteen and most people get them as a treat
    5. You usually get tiny teddies in your lunchbox for school
    6. Tim Tams my favourite I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like them
    7. Milo is very hard to use as you have to keep stiring and stiring and that usually never works so usually have to put it in and then add your milk
    8. We also have fredo frogs here and they taste just like the ones in the UK ( also I know what all the English sweets taste like because I used to live in England)
    9. You’re meant to put 3 teaspoons of Milo into a cup

The Eucalyptus drops are typically sold in the same isle as throat lozenges. Its predominately used for a sore throat as Eucalyptus helps with respiratory complaints and is a great remedy to fight bacteria and supports the body. Some people will take a eucalyptus drop daily as a simply lozenge and health aid.

Anzac biscuits stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) during World War I. The biscuits were sent by wives and families to soldiers as the ingredients do not spoil easily, so they could be eaten after the long transit overseas to the soldiers. Eucalyptus drops can be eaten here as a lolly (candy) but they are great for when you are sick and it clears the nasal passage and helps the throat
