In this episode, P&O Arvia arrives at our first port, St Kitts where we do a Panoramic Half Island Tour
where we visit the sugar plantation ruins, do some rum tasting at Old Road Rum and visit the beautiful botanical gardens. We then proceed to Frigate Bay and drive to the top of Timothy Hill for a breath taking view of the southeast peninsula, here we see where the Atlantic and Caribbean meet.
Once back, we head to the Cheers Bar before Luke decides to do some shopping. Once back on the ship, we spend some time relaxing before waving off Marella Discovery before having a meal at Green & Co and then we head off to the P&O Silent Disco!

We are bananas about cruising! We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini cruise on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby - the complete video is filmed and edited on an iPhone. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board - really they are us having fun and brining you along with us!
We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. On a cruise you will normally find us wondering around the ship taking in the atmosphere (and working our way through the cocktails).

I’ve said it a few times but I still can’t get over the difference between your ship and ours when they were side by side. We really enjoyed St Kitts too. You should give Marella a go. They are a lot smaller but easier to get around. We were in a suite so the cabin was really nice but I have heard stories about other cabins being a little dated. The all inclusive can be lead to a few sore heads in the morning as we found out 😉
Yeah, the size difference was insane! Oh, Marella is definitely one we need to try, so many say we’ll like it! The all Inc sounds perfect too 😉 🍻
Welcome aboard Arvi. You were lucky to avoid the rains on your tour and silent disco's look amazing! Of the rums you tried which one was your favourite?
Hehe! Yeah, we were lucky, never needed our ponchos on the cruise 😀 So his old road was particularly nice, but so us the tidal rum on Arvia.
Luke looked genuinely surprised how good the main was at Green & Co. I'll definitely give this a go later in the year.
Yes, we both were! Very good meal but we really wish, and they are missing a trick - it should be included as a MDR and put the olive grove back as chargeable. That would have been a game changer for those looking for plant based food :)

Diolch! Yes, a fab half day tour, so back around 12:30/1pm. They did a beach drop off if you wished but we just headed back to cheers bar and the port area.

Just got off a Marella 2 week cruise around the Caribbean. Had a fab time but will never ever book with Marella again. The ship was just crap! Would not recommend.
Ohh, interesting. Good to hear you had a fab time but yes, the older ships is what puts us off. We will have to give them a go one day.
I was torn between Marella and P & O as they have almost identical ports I’m interested in experiencing on a particular 2 week cruise. The age of the ships does make a difference. Thanks for your comment, I am now glad I chose P & O. Hoping your next cruise is better.
Personally travelled on Marella Discovery last year and it was amazing!! Yeah it’s an older ship but a great atmosphere, great entertainment, amazing food and actually it’s a stunning ship on the inside and of course drinks all in… personally wouldn’t think twice about booking marella again 👌
