- P&O Arvia transatlantic crossing finally reaches land and we visit our first ports of Tortola, British Virgin Islands and St Kitts.
After 6 days at sea from Gran Canaria, we finally get to go ashore.
In The British Virgin Islands, we go to the beach at Cane Garden Bay on Tortola and try a bit of rum at Callwood Distillery.
Then it’s back on the ship for our next port St Kitts where we take a tour around this Caribbean Island.

Hi Both, 9.123 here again just to say how much we enjoyed watching this very watchable and relaxing video, continuing to re-live our trip too . In Tortola, we just went to Cane Garden Bay on our own and was not sure if we had picked the right place since it was packed - but this is the thing with cruise trips, there is an element of pot luck involved since you do not have the time (or money!) to tour around and find somewhere if where you first go to is too busy/quiet etc. But it was fine in the end, we found a slightly less busy spot and enjoyed the day. We thought St Kitts was lovely too and found a nice beach (Cockleshell Bay) with a reef for snorkelling. Thanks again and look forward to more !!

I feel that Tenby in late August would be just as good and with less hassle.
