Okay, I did NOT see this coming and I am so freaking impressed both by the instrumental and Charlotte's mastery over her voice.

Lana Sídhe I’m a huge fan but I’m also realistic and she doesn’t ever sound like the recorded songs.

Charlotte has a wonderful voice and she's constantly evolving and experimenting with it, there isn't a single song of Delain's that's "easy to sing", if that makes sense. And it's kind of disheartening to see a big fan of theirs seeking out positive comments to respond with skepticism to, just saying.

Well i also know her and I could be a part of the band but I was a student while Charlotte was a bit older I choose to study and to be honest I regret that I did that most think a band starts so will it reach big tops or just have a 1 hit wonder and for the rest ????? who are they I see Charlotte made it and I'm proud to see how much fame a friend got + she is a very kind woman always ready to see her friends or even her fans I'm glad I don't see she got the diva manners thinking she is better than anyone else and I remember when she married I got an invitation so she always remembers her friends even how famous and how many perform in her heart and mind her friends and everyone she loves is by her and won't let us down
I've already been twice in Delain concerts (one of them opening Nightwish last year), both in São Paulo, Brazil (where I live) and her voice was AMAZING, I loved every second of those concerts... Delaine is still around, but it is a solo project again and without this amazing voice. More news is coming at a later date. I loved this line up. Her voice omg.

Sort of same, I just discovered the song trough minniva whom covered it amazingly! Oh they are great bands! The mix was right, this song has some similair Nightwish and Within Temptation sounds. Makes me wonder what other pearls I haven't heard yet, but I'm sure the songs will come onto path at the right time, like this one really resonates with me now.

Ok there good for a start but you have to admit Floor and Nightwish would provide a better eargasm don't get me wrong great song but not the mind blowing power of Floor but then again that just my thoughts

I don’t really listen to symphonic metal anymore but always enjoy listening to Delain. They have such a unique sound and they are great live.
Check out Epica. I do like Delain but I think Epica are way better on every level from insturments over singing to audio mix and master. And they are simply awseome live in concert😉

Harry Neary it also doesn’t help that any time a symphonic metal band with a female singer comes along,they get written off immediately as a Nightwish/Within Temptation copycat or wannabe.
They played this in Wacken this year and it was epic. Damn, their whole show was epic. Charlotte’s performance was out of this world. I have a newly found respect for Delain...

Delain is one of my all time favorite bands but there is just 4 new songs on this album - the rest is 10 live performances of their older songs. Not my cup of tea, but hopefully others will like it.

Same, i literally cried when i found Charlotte left. I did go to one of the last concerts with her in it and i have the drumstick the guy used! Its still in my room!
Same for me! I was happy to see them live, while Merel was still with them. Absolutely the best line-up. Cannot get into the "new" version of Delain. The music is still good, but the vibes are off.

This is the Real Delain. It's Amazing the sound, the real symphonic ambient in the song. This will be the bigger album of the band.

Delain has become one of my favorite bands to listen to. The way Charlotte manipulates her voice with such ease into so many different dynamics is nothing short of breathtaking. And the music that surrounds her voice is top notch, too!

I have followed you since I first heard Lucidity and in EVERY SINGLE ALBUM, you have shown show much growth as artists. And Charlotte just gets more and more amazing with how versatile her voice is! Im an old fart, and this is all new to me. Women’s voices are much more pleasant to hear than men’s voices in this genre of music. After listening to bands like Nightwish, you can tell that the music was written for the female voice. I like it!

I follow Delain for 12 years now, have seen them more than a dozen times live. As I already stated after joining the last shows: They have reached the same level Nightwish and Within Temptation have for decades now! They still haven't the same popularity and production level of their shows, but the energy and fun that they irradiate from stage and celebrate a party and interact with the audience every single time is a different level: Their shows are "Out of this world", during the even more famous NW and WT remain in the "Champions League". By recognizing this and the still unbroken striking distance to their fans after the shows they climbed the throne of this genre. Looking forward to the new stuff full of expectations!

I love living by the sea and seeing this video with ocean gives me chills. It's my place i go when im feeling down and like i think this song is saying WE make our lives what it is to us. You cant choose what happens to you but you can choose how to react to it. Be who you want to be, live how you want to live in your heart and let no barriers hold you back.

I keep coming back to this video to listen everyday since it was uploaded. The more you listen the better it gets, and the more the lyrics get to your head and your heart. It's another deliciously tragic/dramatic song that's one of the reasons why I love Delain so much. Can't wait for the full album ❤ ❤ ❤
I'm replying to my own comment to say I know that technically right now Delain is only promoting a mini album and not a full album, but I've been a fan long enough to know a full album isn't usually too far behind a mini album. Also I've always been the type to see the album as half full.

Just finding out yesterday that Delain have disbanded was a depressing kick in the gut for me personally. Having been a fan since the 1st Delain CD came out, and yet never having been able to see them play live ( and with them disbanding, that will evidently not be possible ), my musical heart is crestfallen with a profound sadness upon finding out they are no longer a band. That truly sucks....sigh...
