Zee really should do a ranking video of the Arkham LCG content. There is so much of it!
I'd really love a ranking of standalone scenarios from Zee Garcia - thank you.
Reviews from Zee make me happy.
Very useful review, thanks a lot for making it!
So ideally this means that the copy I pre ordered will be heading to me soon.
@Zee, do you think the game arc cohesion issue which you spoke is possibly due to this being initially released as the Arkham Nights Tournament setting/ scenario?
I really enjoyed this but it’s more of a convention scenario where you get multiple groups to play it. Our three player team gelled so well with my Carolyn acting as the party’s healer, provided they could cover my enemies. Played it at the last uk games expo.
Thanks, Zee.
I would love to see you rank these standalone packs for solo suitability
So would I... three years on....
5 times is more than enough replayability for me
Great review, agree with the Game arc being a bit weak, sure to it's hard handed way of pushing you on. It felt overly rushed where it could've been developed more slowly and really built the suspense.
As someone who plays with a team of 4 by default, do not play this one with a team of 4! The Abyss value is linked to the number of players from the start and most Treacheries test X value against the Abyss Value - any of my crew who were rocking less than 5 in certain stats didn’t have a prayer and got eliminated fairly quickly.
Glad to see more Arkham LCG cover from you! Have you played Murder at the Excelsior Hotel yet? :)
MunchhausenPL Zee is going to review that one next. He shows it right before the end of the video.
Yep, that's coming soon!
So how into the AH:LCG are you nowadays? Are you buying everything and subscribing to campaigns and playing a bunch, or just here and there? How worth it is it to dive in with such a huge price point today?
Not.
The stock issues frustration (of everyone of their card games, ever, go figure, they don't wanna learn) makes it less than appealing to anyone that hasn't started from day 1 and kept up with releases.
It's one of the best games on the market today, I would definitely recommend picking up a cycle (any one of them works, The Circle Undone and The Forgotten Age are a bit more difficult than average, but the most important factor is to pick one that you can get all the mythos packs for) and trying out a campaign. It's not more expensive than getting two regular games, and if you find yourself enjoying the game you can slowly expand your card pool. It's definitely not necessary to pick up everything right away. Hope this helped :)
We've just got into Arkham and it's great
God this one is mean. But I still really like it
This is too weird. I am currently half-way through this as a side mission as part of a campaign.
