I agree!!! I’m a college student. I watch her video when I feel anxious or stressed because of college life. Watching her organizing can help me feel like I can get my life together.
Your cat sitting on your cable box with the burlap cover made me chuckle. My cats choose the craziest places to take a nap too. I enjoyed the ideas you shared as well and thanks.
I'd just started using a magazine folder that I unpacked recently. I'd bought it so long ago I'd forgotten I had it. Much of my gear is still packed due to circumstances following my last move. It made me smile hearing your tip about doing just that... I love your ideas, your boundless strength of character & your generous spirit of sharing your wisdom. Thank you sooo much 🌻🍀
I love your vlogs, thank you. I add a few drops of vanilla extract to the water when I clean my microwave. Leaves your kitchen smelling lovely. Sending lots of love. ⚘
To ripen avocado, place each into separate wool socks (bought myself a pair of new kids socks for that purpose :)) and set onto the window sill, or warmer place on general. Thanks for your videos, really enjoy them!
Hi Benita - some excellent tips which I haven’t used and will happily adopt. Thank you! One which I find useful is to put my wet rinsed-out kitchen sponge into the microwave for about one minute on ‘high’. This seems to ‘sterilise’ the sponge and also give the microwave a steam for cleaning. I do remove it with tongs, though!
Thank you for all the lovely tips, I will be adding citrus slices to the dishwasher from now on. My dad taught me the trick of covering food with a plate, he learnt it from my grandmother, no clingwrap when she raised her 8 kids, I wish that my grandparents where still around, I am sure that I could learn a lot from them, but I am lucky to have my parents.
Great video as always Benita. My top tip is a combination of two of yours. Adding a squeezed half of lemon to the bowl of water in your microwave helps it smell better also.
Hello Benita. Thank you for all those wonderful relaxing videos. Even though, I have lived in the US for many many years, I am originally from South America. As you might imagine, avocados are important fruits in our daily diet. To get them yo ripe faster, my mother would wrap them in news paper and put them in the oven overnight. You don't have to turn on the oven. the next day they would be ripen.. I hope it works for you.
This is a year late, but putting the hard avocado in a paper bag with an apple or banana for a day or two on the counter or on a shelf will hasten the ripening process nicely. Just don't forget it is in there. I enjoy watching your Swedish perspective.
1. I wash my bras in the shower using hair shampoo, hang them from the shower head and let them drip-dry. They last longer this way. 2. I cut up those green scourer pads that are abrasive into small pieces, so that I can use a fresh piece each time. 3. We no longer use plastic food wrap as we store food in bowls with a plate cover, but I also use my clean dish drying cloths to wrap around food like home-made bread, which can get stale very quickly.
Thanks for all these great tips. I will definitely try the avocado in water, and the lemon in the dishwasher. Totally agree that clinging film can be easily replaced with dishes, this is what our grandmothers used to do anyway before plastic was a daily reality. And I also love the idea of felted pads underneath the appliances, I never thought of that. Great video Benita!
Wow! I've watched a lot of videos with ideas like this but these were all new to me! I had no idea about lemon in the dishwasher and putting an avocado half in a bowl of water. Can't wait to start using these ideas!
When I was growing up, my mother would use an old pair of panty hose strung through the arms and neck of a jumper, or delicate item of clothing, to prevent any peg marks or over stretching of the garment. Thank you for another relaxing, calming and informative video! 🙂
I didn't think I was the only one who used plates or other objects as covers in the fridge, but my reason is more out of laziness. I also keep a stash of aluminum foil (much to my boyfriend's dismay!) that I reuse until it falls apart. That part I do for the environment. ;) Thank you for another lovely and calming video!
Im going to have my first apartement ever, your videos help me a lot as a new minimalist. Thank you so much im a new subscriber wo already learn a lot of you
Dearest Benita, thank you so much for all the useful tips, especially the one with the lemon 🍋 cup in the dishwasher...the avocado 🥑 and the cling film!! And once again...I 💗 your cats..they are the sweetest 😻😻😻😻😻 Have a nice rest of the week🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Hi Benita, what a great tips. Thank you I will for sure try the one with lemon in the dishwasher though :) I recommend you throw away the used match or stick it into a plant pot with soil, otherwise it may cause a fire in that match box.
Thank you for these tips - I also use plates or bowls for quick left over storage and cut fruit - love the idea of saving avocado in a bowl of water! I have a garbage disposal (which i don't really usem as I compost) and sometimes run a lemon peel through it to freshen it!
This video is over the top informative. Thank you once again for all the wonderful tips! I’ve not tried the citrus in the dishwasher! I will be doing that from now on. What a super video 🥰
I got my paper work sorted, 3 drawers down to 1/2 drawer. And it all went into a fireproof/waterproof grab n go bag that I put by my bed. Have a blessed week to you had kitty's.✌🙏💗🤗🐈
Thank you for your tips always enjoy watching your videos . I like the tip using saucers instead of cling film. Your Cats are adorable they sleep on cozy spots..
Hello Benita! Great tips as usual - I love the lemon in the dishwasher tip - I drink water everyday with fresh squeezed lemon juice - now I know where to put the skins 😀 I use lemon in my microwave to clean - putting in a bowl of water, turning on for a min or two - and I am able to wipe down my microwave very easily. I use plates to cover left overs in the fridge as well (quite honestly I wasn't even thinking about the idea of 'less plastic used') I like being able to stack the bowls of food of each other in the fridge. I really look forward to your videos every week, I appreciate the time it takes and your content choices ❤ Enjoy your week - and I hope your Mom is doing well. ❤
Once again a great video with relaxing atmosphere! I throw half lemons in the microwave on high for 30 sec and let the steam from the juices and lemon oils do the magic! But now I'm looking forward to trying the lemon dishwasher trick! Greetings from Germany!
Hi Benita. I especially like the citrus in the dishwasher, the avocado trick (because I use 1/2 of an avocado in my protein shake several times a week) and the felt to protect surfaces. Thank you for sharing.
I recently read another article about keeping Avocados fresh. If you are not ready to use the Avocado store the whole fruit in a large jar and cover with water completely in the fridge this stops the oxygenation. Can be kept up to 2 weeks .
I love watching and rewatching your videos as they are so interesting. Would love some videos of you out and about doing activities in the city but my favourite ones are around your apartment. Could we please have home tours of your friends’ homes or other Swedish homes I’m fascinated by them. Thank you 🌸
Lemon in the dishwasher is a great idea! I clean my microwave the same as you, but with lemon/lime/orange peels. I keep them in the freezer until cleaning day.
OMG, I'm soo guilty of the sock thing. I feel virtuous when I keep my old socks, you know, for the reduce, reuse, recycle thing. But you made me confront the fact that I don't need to keep 20 mismatched socks for dusting. I will let them go.
Fun fact, if you leave the avocado pit in, the avocado does not turn brown. That also counts for when making guacamole. Just plop the pit in the mix and it stays green. Magic. :D
All your tips are appreciated. I especially will make use of the magazine holder idea, the multiple hanger trick, and the half avocado in the water tip. Enjoy ALL your videos.
Love the inspiration folder idea. I use an old lemon in a bowl with a tiny amount of water in my microwave every Monday am whilst cleaning my coffee machine (whilst I’m doing school lunches). I buff mine with a microfibre cloth (it’s stainless steel) and comes up a treat. I then use the lemon in the kettle to descale or monthly in the dishwasher with vinegar. I love your trick of adding to a regular dishwasher load.
Excellent tips. However, at our home, we try to eat homecooked meals from scratch every day (avoid processed meals) and we always double our recipes so we have food for another day during that week. Instead of using film, we store our food in glass containers with lids. That way we don't need extra dishes to use as lids and can keep our kitchen inventory if not "minimal" at least "reduced" and just enough for our family needs. LOVED the paper storage system!
Excellent tips, as always. Also, thank you for choosing great sponsors. I enjoy Morning Brew and Function of Beauty, both of which I learned about from you. Hugs to Mini and Bonus, as usual :)
What a great bunch of tips. Thanks. I'm going to try the microwave tip using a measuring cup, hoping it's a little easier to handle the hot water. I like the idea of a work apron. It makes me think of the characters in Sense and Sensibility, tearing off their apron when company arrived.

The only time I wear old clothes is when I'm doing yard work or colouring my hair. I love seeing your cats in your videos. Have a good week ahead.
Thanks for these tips Benita, especially steaming the microwave. Will try this one today.I too use plates to cover things in the fridge👍🏻. Loved this 🥰xx.
Thanks for the hanger tip. I cut up pool noodles and shaped them to stick on a few hangers. These work great but take up quite a bit of space. It's so great to see you have so many followers here. I've been a fan from the early blog days! Time flies ;) I have looked for that matchbook cover for ages. Any links for that by chance? I know you've had it for so long that it's probably not available anymore but I have to try. Happy spring!
I love revisiting your videos and I've been doing that this week. I just watched this one and now I want to try the avocado in water trick. I love avos but hate trying to keep the other half fresh!
Great tips, thank you. The one about the hangers is so simple yet I hadn't thought of it 😝 I also love the smell of matches just put out and candles too (weird nordic person 😵💫) Love all your video's and look forward to them always, can't wait for the next one 🙂
I always use the trick with plate to cover the meal, it is the best way to reduce garbage! Two of my home tricks are preparing bigger portion of meal and freeze it, so I have a ready dinner in freezer, if I am too busy to cook and cleaning the windows with old tights, do they are much more shiny!
Great tips! I especially like the microwave cleaning-why hadn't I ever thought to do that before! Curious to know though, why do you keep the burnt matches? Why not just throw them out when you're done after each use?
Thanks Morning Brew for my daily news - sign up for free here cen.yt/mbbenitalarsson4
What is the word?!😂
I love every single video you make - you have a calm voice and a calm home to match! 🇸🇪

Thank you I have enjoyed every single video too!😊👏
Always you are So sincere and incredibly inspiring! Thank you Benita!!
Your cat sitting on your cable box with the burlap cover made me chuckle. My cats choose the craziest places to take a nap too. I enjoyed the ideas you shared as well and thanks.
THat's why there's so much dusting going on 🤣
I’m spending today watching some of your old videos. I really appreciate the work you put into all of them, thank you Benita ♥️
I'd just started using a magazine folder that I unpacked recently. I'd bought it so long ago I'd forgotten I had it. Much of my gear is still packed due to circumstances following my last move.

You've got a beautiful calming voice. Thank you for a great video Benita. Gorgeous kitties. Greetings from South Africa
The 4x hangers hack is brilliant!
I don't use a dishwasher...I am the dishwasher! 😄 But I use lemon peel/slices in the washing up water. It's one of my favourite fragrances! 🍋
Haha! I was also the dishwasher for 20 years. It's overrated in my mind 🤣
I’m a teacher and always looking for neater ways to organize all my paperwork I love the magazine holder idea and will give this a try. Thank you 😊
Glad you found some tips to use!
Great tip, thanks for sharing!
The small things add up when you make the changes to save yourself time and aggravation. Thank you for sharing! 🌱
Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks so much for sharing, that's so great!
Avocado hack...game changer!
I will definitely try the avocado trick! It makes perfect sense.
Great video as always Benita. My top tip is a combination of two of yours. Adding a squeezed half of lemon to the bowl of water in your microwave helps it smell better also.
I do the lemon in microwave too sometimes!

Now this I am going to try. Normally I just put them in a dish by the window.

That's very clever!
Thanks for the avacado advice! I already use plates to cover bowls.
I didn't think I was the only one who used plates or other objects as covers in the fridge, but my reason is more out of laziness. I also keep a stash of aluminum foil (much to my boyfriend's dismay!) that I reuse until it falls apart. That part I do for the environment. ;)

When laziness is saving the planet I'm all for it! 🤓

I have a miniature chair like this too and It looks exactly like my desk's chair. I put my AirPods on it so it looks neat and easy to access.😊
Hi Benita, the lemon in the dishwasher is genius! I will definitely do that, thank you!
Hi Benita, what a great tips. Thank you I will for sure try the one with lemon in the dishwasher though :) I recommend you throw away the used match or stick it into a plant pot with soil, otherwise it may cause a fire in that match box.
I make sure that doesn’t happen!
Thanking you from Germany! I already do some of these and always Learn something new (microwave cleanup)!

Thank you so much for watching again! I do the lemon in microwave too sometimes!
I used to drink glass of warm lemon juice each morning, but dentist said and on the enamel of the teeth, cut. Good for cleaning though
Once again a great video with relaxing atmosphere!

The avocado trick is a bit of a game changer if you tend to eat half!

Thank you for the tip about the avocado. I will certainly try it next time I buy some.
Glad I could provide you with a tip!
The avocado trick is very helpful. I'll definitely try it soon. Thank you 😊
You’ll love it!

Lemon in the dishwasher is a great idea! I clean my microwave the same as you, but with lemon/lime/orange peels. I keep them in the freezer until cleaning day.
I sometimes pop citrus in the microwave too! Smart call freezing some for later!
Fantastic tips! Thank you, Benita!!
Love the tip of putting a lemon in the dishwasher 👍🏼
You’ll love the scent!🙌🏻
Tack för bra tips och trix, dagens video gjorde min morgonstund extra mysig, så lugn och harmonisk. Önskar dig en skön onsdag!
Tack, vad kul att du gillade!
I love the tip you showed to pop lemon or orange peel into the dishwasher. I will definitely give it a try. 💞🌿
The scent after you open! 🙌🏻

Our cat Daphne loves sitting on top of the cable box because the electronics give off heat. Love your organizing videos. We are Subscribers.
Thank you so much for subscribing!
The socks for dusting! Smart
It’s a great duster as long as you only keep one 😉
Fun fact, if you leave the avocado pit in, the avocado does not turn brown. That also counts for when making guacamole. Just plop the pit in the mix and it stays green. Magic. :D

I sometimes use white vinegar in kettle but don’t feel I need to worry about rinsing so much with lemon
Lots of great tips! Thank you. Love cute Bonus napping on your electronics cover.
Thank you! He's the cutest 😊
Thank you one million times. We love you lots. Have lovely Easter days 🌱☀️
Great tips! Some might even be game changing. Look forward to trying them.

I LOVE every one of your videos! What did you squeeze on top of your avocado and egg?
It’s Kalles Kaviar. It’s very Swedish😅
Great tips and amazing and cute kitties! My kind of content! 😁
Excellent tips, as always. Also, thank you for choosing great sponsors. I enjoy Morning Brew and Function of Beauty, both of which I learned about from you.

Thank you for appreciating my sponsors! I am super picky about them and turn 90% of those that get in touch down.
Hello from Chicago! I love your videos. They are so calm and relaxing!!!
Thank you so much!

I'm so happy you enjoy my videos!
Amei as idéias!!
As always, nice ideas! Love these Benita!
So glad you like them!
You always have the *best* tips! They’re unique and very useful. 🥑 🍋 🕯
Aww, thank you so much!
Thanks for the Morning Brew link, been receiving it for a few weeks now.
Hope you enjoy it!
To ripen avocadoes more quickly, put them next to some bananas. Works like a charm!
What a great bunch of tips. Thanks. I'm going to try the microwave tip using a measuring cup, hoping it's a little easier to handle the hot water. I like the idea of a work apron. It makes me think of the characters in Sense and Sensibility, tearing off their apron when company arrived.
Glad you enjoyed them!
Thank you Benita for the subtitles in French 👍😘🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
Hi Benita,
I like everything you use. They are so classic n stylish!! You have great taste!!!! Awesome tricks too in this video!! 👍👍
Aww, that's so sweet, thank you!
I'm currently sifting through my office space. It's taken a week plus but so happy with the difference! I will try the magazine holders instead of an open file rack.
The only time I wear old clothes is when I'm doing yard work or colouring my hair. I love seeing your cats in your videos. Have a good week ahead.
The magazine holders will help you save some space 😊
Your advice is wonderful. Love. Friendly greetings from Portugal !!!.
Great tips, thank you for sharing. However my favourite part of this video is Mini at the beginning having a little dream 💭
She's a little sweetie, for sure!
Great practical tips! Especially the dishwasher lemon and the avocado 👍 Thank you for yet another beautiful video Benita 🙏❤️
I'm so happy you enjoyed the tips!
Great ideas Benita. I use the lates as a top to a bowl already, but had not heard of the avocado trick. Thanks.
Glad I could offer a new tip!
Thanks for these tips Benita, especially steaming the microwave. Will try this one today.I too use plates to cover things in the fridge👍🏻. Loved this 🥰xx.
So glad you enjoyed the tips!
Avos inside an airtight small container, works for me ,thank you for your many tips 🙂
That's good to know!
Love your video Benita- your video sends calmness 😊 thank you
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the practical tips! Loved them all! Especially the avocado 🥑 one!
Have a great day!
The avocado one is great if you just want half!
Loved these tips. I like that they were different than ones I’ve seen before. How did I not know about putting the half avocado in water?! 😲🥑
So glad you enjoyed them!
Nice ideas. Do the paperwork direct after receiving. Nothing piling between.
Thanks for the hanger tip. I cut up pool noodles and shaped them to stick on a few hangers. These work great but take up quite a bit of space.
It's so great to see you have so many followers here. I've been a fan from the early blog days! Time flies ;)
I have looked for that matchbook cover for ages. Any links for that by chance? I know you've had it for so long that it's probably not available anymore but I have to try.
Happy spring!
I think it’s only available in Sweden. You need the standard Swedish match box for the design to work and matches can’t be sent in the mail.
@@BenitaLarsson I guess I'll just have to get over there :)
Great tips!
Aww, thanks! Im so happy you enjoy them!
Thanks for sharing those tips!
The avocado tip was the best tip I've ever learned. Thank you!
Yay, so happy to hear you found it useful!
Brown Paper Bag for Avocadoes can help it ripen. I put my raw ones there and just wait for 1-2 days and voila! :)
Great tips! I especially like the microwave cleaning-why hadn't I ever thought to do that before! Curious to know though, why do you keep the burnt matches? Why not just throw them out when you're done after each use?
Because the trash isn't always close by and I don't want them on my surfaces 😊
@@BenitaLarsson that's fair 😅
Useful smart ideas are so welcome.. thank you
Thank you so much for watching!
Such great ideas!
