  • Slow Cooked Corned Beef
One of our favorite recipes for Corned Beef.
We used 2 small corned beef briskets for this recipe, each about 3.5 lbs.
    Recipe:
    Ingredients:
1 each- 6-7 lb corned beef brisket
1 Quart- chicken stock (low sodium is best)
1 each- 12 oz pale ale or dark beer
    2 each- medium onions, quartered
6 each- carrots, cut on half
    1 TBSP- dijon mustard
    2 each- bay leaf
    For the Seasoning:
1 TBSP- coriander seeds (you can use the seasoning package that came with the corned beef)
    2 tsp- garlic powder
    1 tsp- ground ginger
    1 tsp- peppercorns
    1/2 tsp- red pepper flakes
    Method:
Rinse the briskets under cold water, be sure to remove all of the brine.
Pat the briskets dry with a paper towel.
Crush the seasonings in aa and pestle, or use a food processor.
Season the briskets all over including the sides.
Brown the briskets in a hot saute pan on each side.
Remove the briskets and let rest.
Add 1 quart of low sodium chicken stock to the pan, scrape the bits on the bottom until dissolved.
Add dijon mustard and whisk until combined.
Pour the stock mixture over the briskets.
Add the onions, carrots and bay leaf and beer.
Cook at 350F for about 4 hours. Turn the briskets every hour and baste.

Wow chef you’re looking good!. Like the change up. Love the braise with the spice mix and the chicken stock with beer. Way to go! Looks so tender when you slice it. Going to give it a try. Ready in 4 hours, pretty awesome🤠🤠

This looked great. I was a little disappointed because I thought you were going to "corn" the brisket. I intend to corn ( salt) a brisket this year for St Patrick's day. But again it did look great. Have a great day 🌤 😀.

Yes I remember my granny would do this at Christmas she would rub the meat with salt she would get off the butcher ,pepper and brown sugar and something from the chemist could it be salpeter I don’t know if u can buy that now , and she would put it in a stoneware pot with a plate on it weighed down with a brick 😂😂😂😂 so for i think a week or 5 days always turning it after a few days then she would slow cook it 🍀👍😍

I really want to make this, but you’re not giving measurements or temperatures or how long I’m supposed to slow cook this
