- This recipe is one of my favorites, the sticky bourbon-molasses glaze gives the meat an irresistible touch of sweetness that balances out the brine. And it is perfect to celebrate St. Patrick 's day!
Brining your own corned beef at home is easy, all you need is the right equipment and time, about 7 to 10 days-therefore thinking ahead is imperative. Beyond the pink salt, which can be found at a butcher shop or on Amazon, you probably have the spices in your cabinets already. If you buy a pre-brined brisket from the grocery store, skip the first step.
For an easy side dish, simmer vegetables like cabbage, potatoes, potatoes and carrots in the poaching broth while you glaze the corned beef.

That is such a different and unique way to make corned beef. It looks so amazing and so good it's almost like how to do a ham with a glaze and everything but man that glazed look delicious and that meat looks so tender when you bit into it oh my goodness. I can't wait to try this that looks so good thank you so much Andrew for your video of this and I love all your bizarre foods videos and you are one of my favorite and best chefs in the whole world and I miss watching your shows on TV.

Anytime some fellow Italian tells me americans lack in culinary culture, I link them this beautiful thumb shaped treasure of a man to shut them up.
I have to say that that looks pretty damned awesome and I'm going to have to do one myself.
Here in the UK we can't buy 'corned beef' in vacuum packs in the supermarket and the only way to get it is to make it from scratch as you have done. Because it takes so long, it's quite a treat, but even then, very few people make their own. We don't use sugar in cooking anywhere near as much as Americans, but I think your glaze compliments the meat really well.
Do not Use this fools recipe. He is using toxic amounts of prague powder. Sodium nitrate.
