Hey Scotty, I have a 2018 Honda Accord lx with 13,000 miles that suffers from oil dilution which we all know about the earth dreams engine. Another thing that isn't talked about as much but is still a common issue is the rear camshaft seals were very poorly made. Mine leaks a bit of oil and if you search up the issue you can find that it is actually quite common. I just figured I would mention it incase you want another example of how poor Honda's quality has become.

As someone who has owned a Triumph TR-6 convertible and Mustang Convertibles, do not lock your doors. If you leave anything in view, a thug will take a pocket knife, slit your top near the door lock or over your head to reach in and open your car. Then you not only lose the pocket change you left in the center console, but also, $100's to replace the top because now when it rains, you get wet. If you even think no one would steal it, put it in the trunk (I live in big a city and have replaced 2 tops).
Several sunroof and targa cars later, I have a hardtop convertible which is fun to watch open and close and a bit more secure, but I still don't leave stuff in view.
Keep your junk in the trunk! They also offer V8 conversions and A.C. Cobra update kit for Miata (I had pondered this car for a while)

The wiring was starting to get quirky.
Plastic window was much larger. Loved the simple manual top. Best top I ever had. Sure beat the MGB, 325ic, old Jag. It was similar to the 70s Fiat Spider top.

Got a new ND Miata in 2017 and I'm still in love with this thing. It's hard to quantify and compare "fun", and I've driven some insanely powerful and fun cars in my life (used to review cars for a living). But to me, the Miata is right up there with Lotus Elises and Porsche Boxters. Yes: It's outclassed when it comes to sheer speed and probably cornering, but it's damn close to these really expensive cars - at a fraction of the cost. It's also incredibly frugal for a 160 hp-car. Plus: Most drivers of much more powerful, but heavier and less well-balanced cars like TDI-Audis or Golf GTIs won't be able or willing to keep up with you once things get twisty. Sure: They'll eventually catch you on a long straight, but in the corners it really takes a powerful RWD-car and/or a dedicated, skilled driver to keep up with a halfway-decently driven Miata.

Wish Scotty would give a shoutout to the Lotus Elise, it seems like it would be right up his alley.
Granted its not an everyman car like he specializes in and its not a 1ZZ engine like he prefers but its that perfect compromise between British sports car and Japanese reliability.
No electronic crap, naturally aspirated, and most important of all its literally a Toyota Celica.
I'd let Scotty give mine a whirl if he was ever back around Texas, and you know if it breaks while he's revving up your engine that he knows how to fix it. Actually not mentioning it is probably a compliment, Scotty wouldn't fail to mention something that is terrible.
