Magirus Deutz 320 6x4, 10 cylinder 413(?) series engine, 9 speed Fuller/Eaton non-synchro transmission, cross locking diffs... That's what I cut my teeth on. I rolled it, walked out through windshield and sadly sold for scrap. If only I had a way to keep it. It howled like a jet engine when hot at full load but I never managed to overheat it chasing newer trucks - hey I was young 😄 One day they were doing (dirt) road maintenance, so I approached 3 dumped loads of dirt blocking the road. I would say probably around 8m^3 each and around 1,5 m high. The grader operator was waiting for other machines to spread it so he could grade it. He told me it would probably take an hour or so to finish. I asked him if he minded me going over and I received a confused stare 🤣 Fully loaded, in goes first gear with the appropriate sound effect and the old girl just drives over as if it was a wheel-barrow load of dirt. I didn't even have to lock anything... Yes, they were good machines and you could fix them with a hammer and a pipe wrench.
Seeing the Iveco climb the sand hill. Ok that is pretty impressive as it did not even break traction. Then seeing the Iveco had a full load of dirt climbing the sand hill. Ok now I am impressed!!
Hallo für die LKW hab ich noch die vorderen kodflügel machen müssen 1976/77 bei der Fa köpf die haben auch Stoßstange und Unterfahrschutz gemacht gruß Johannes
Meinst du den schwarzen oder dunkelgrünen Lkw am Anfang des Videos ? Das müsste entweder ein Borgward oder Saurer sein. Wobei ich mehr von einem Borgward von der Bundeswehr mehr ausgehe.
