The soup with pork is actually Red Peas soup...and that's a sweet potato pudding with custard on top. Made with sugar, cinnamon and coconut milk that's added just before the end of baking.

If the potato pudding taste funky it’s spoiled. The potato is not the regular American potato. The best way to eat it is just out the oven when its hot. The top part is actually the best to me. It’s coconut milk, vanilla, sugar etc (same items in the potato pudding). You cook it on the stove top and then poor it on top after it almost finish baking. Then finish baking.
The corn in Jamaica is so sweet and juicy. Asoon as I got of the plane the lady i spoke to said make sure you try the corn. She wasn’t wrong they are unreal
