How Yu-Peng Chen manages to make every single theme so distinct and catchy is just unbelievable. The man is legitimately a genius.
Don't forget about the rest of HOYO-MIX! They've each got their own style when you look at the composers!
@@CrimsonBlade104 Yes, absolutely!!!
He's amazing but he's not credited here so we're not sure he composed all of these.
One big reason why exploration in this game never feels boring... unlike the vast majority of rpgs where you easily grow tired of the bgm if you stay at one spot for too long.
Credit goes to him ALONG with the entirety of the HoYo-MiX team! There have been a few albums may not have worked on (Enkanomiya - Sony Music Studios)
After Inazuma OST, they stopped officially mentioning him in the credits (at least on YT & Spotify)
So it's safe to say these masterpieces were the result of a team effort!
I can never listen to "For Riddles, For Wonders" without feeling the urge to tear up again, it's crazy how much the quest impacted my view of this particular tune now
dont forget the "ethereal mildness" which hits our feels
Same.
Which quest is impacted by this music?

Oh shi- I thought I had one
I know Fontaine is main focus now but im unable to forget Sumeru. It was a roller coaster.
Same, its still my fav nation and will always be
Fontaine music is great but not better than Sumeru. Of no fault of its own. French instruments just do not compare to Indian, Persian and Arab ones. Fontaines exploration is superb tho. Fixes every problem that Sumeru had.
@@N_ei_Lyou trippin. dont gotta put one soundtrack down to support another.

The night version which is End of the Feast also hit really hard too!

34:45 The first I came to Vimara Village, man i just suddenly stopped moving just because how beautiful the music is
Same here. I have been waiting for the official release of this soundtrack and now that it's here, I can listen to this on repeat.
It reminds me so much of themes from towns in Pokemon games - full of wonder!
The night version was the one that played during Mr. CEO's closing speech during the 3.0 livestream and i felt his sincerity just as how i felt his elegance dancing as Ayaka.
me too...and I spent quite a bit of time vibing to the music that I forgot why I was there in the first place just waiting for the bgm to play again....and since that day I had been eagerly waiting for Genshin to release the soundtrack...when it came out thou.... I think I had spent quite a lot of hours just listening to this particular soundtrack
Every villages OSTS in Genshin are just so so beautiful and magical!

i dont get what are you talking about... but that song for some reeason makes me feel sad, like there is something missing...
I can't say I have a favorite region... when I'm in Mondstadt, I love Mondstadt... when I'm in Liyue, I love Liyue... when I'm in Inazuma, I love Inazuma... when I'm in Sumeru, I love Sumeru! Every piece of music is so specific and heartwarming, like you feel like home wherever you are in Teyvat. Personally, I can't choose a favorite OST. If I'm in Inazuma I'll be like "I love this music! It's my favorite" then I go to Mondstadt and I love everything there too because it reminds me of that very first day last year when I decided to play Genshin. Yu-Peng Chen is a genius and all the people who worked to make these are, hands down, amazing artists, musicians!
omg thanks for putting my feelings into words! It's exactly the same as mine. Every region is so unique and special, we can't really compare
For Riddles for Wonders should be renamed to Emotional Damage

"When I woke up, I was riding in a flower carriage... I just had a dream, I dreamed it was my birthday"

4 nations with their own distinct culture and music. All of them are a banger, and we still have Fontaine, Natlan and Snezhnaya left
Natlan has got to have some sick beats.

Don't forget Khaenri'ah

Genshin is one of those few games where the composer knows the game's identity well and thus can compose music that truly reinforces and enriches the player's experience of the game
8:28 This is one of the most emotional and calming ost in Genshin imo, it's so damn elegant.
This is the same melody on Nahida's character demo.
And the same melody as the final cutscene of Sumeru Archon Quest...
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904 The feels in the cutscene were real.
This one hits different after 3.2 Archon Quest. I can't listen to it without crying. Had to return to Liyue or Mondstadt as soon as the sitar starts playing.
Hearing it after watching the cutscene feels so emotional and just sad to me. Idk how to describe it properly but this just kinda make me cried alil.
5:52 has a feeling like no other. It's so grand and majestic and awe inspiring. Never fails to feel like I'm hearing it for the first time.
Speaking of... I'll never forget the first time it dropped when I was running in sumeru city and the second time during a tense moment in archon quest.
Truly my favorite!
That song is decieving) It starts so mysteriously, slowly - and then spreads out the rich orchestra))) "Grand" describes it well, that's how it feels when that part you time-stamped plays!
I heard this section the moment I realized something was happening in the second archon quest. Chills!
34:47 sounds like a distant memory that suddenly popped up in our mind that feels warm and so nostalgic...
Nice explanation, that's exactly what I felt.
It gives me Pokémon vibes after leaving your hometown, and exploring the first route towards the next town

I want to go listen to Swirls of Shamshir on disc 4 - but I can't stop listening to this one, to the whole disc! Each and every one of those melodies are attractive and beautiful - Sumeru, Port Ormos, Vimara village, the city ones, the jungle ones, Caravan Ribat - how do you manage that?? XDDD Oh my god...
Yu-Peng Chen and HOYO-MiX, you are geniuses and we're all incredibly lucky to have your music.
6:40 was the first theme I heard upon entering Sumeru. Definitely the best area so far when it comes to soundtrack!
That part makes me chill, like watching Titanic back in the day
The recording quality and the color of the music from Genshin Impact are just extraordinary as always. You can definitely feel the effort they put into this. Especially when compared to many 3A games where the most epic boss music could sound very unpolished to my ears and the arrangement could be slothful. On the contrary, you entered a small village in Genshin and ... just WOW!
let alone Genshin boss themes) the music for the boss in Tenshukaku is a masterpiece of its own)))
Honestly speaking, I did not have high expectation for Sumeru before 3.0 came. Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma already created a diverse yet equally vibrant imaginary world that completely captivated me. I could not imagine a more fantastic way for Hoyoverse to steal my 'Wow' again. But I was completely wrong. The music, the touching and enlightening story, and the contrasting but convincing scenery design of the forest and the desert once again suprised me with its sincerity. Hoyoverse definitely has the world's best game designers! Full respect.
Am I the only one who loves 17:21 ?
Whenever it starts playing I just chill around to listen to it.
Yeah, this one is definitely god-tier. The minor key is so cinematic that I can expect this from the best movie in this world. And it also sounds really classical in the piano arrangement.

Sumeru is just on another level
The first track of each nation’s album, usually titled after the nation itself, always does a brilliant job of exploring the main musical themes of the region. Liyue, Inazuma, and now Sumeru are some of my favorite tracks, and it’s a shame they’re not in the game in their entirety but I kind of like it that way.

I'm listening to genshin soundtracks extensively to accept that it is just soundtracks of one video game and while it is good, it still is within a video game standard and many games does that blah blah blah but I couldn't...
Whenever I hear a different track from Genshin, it just feels much more than just a video game track. Each track is soo soo soo good.

Мне так нравятся,когда создатели грамотно и очень тщательно подбирают музыку под регионы,это просто чудесно.💕

I'll just say that I love the video of this album, a spinning record just like The Stellar Moments, Shimmering Voyage Vol 2, and Footprints of the Traveler. I hope they keep doing this in future albums
I love Fontaine but Sumeru was the first region that came out after I joined. I almost wish I could go back, the nostalgia is real (and imo the music is the best)
