I'm from the US and my gf was raised in Venezuela. Sometimes I get annoyed becuase people here in the US think that dating any foreigner means they're taking advantage of you. Also since the Arab revolt, Egypts government is paranoid over spies and another revolution (thats why they build the new city for politicians, far away from the common people) and thats why you’re not allowed to take photos of governmental and religious buildings, they’re terrified of an attack or uprising. Also Turkic peoples are extremely diverse in general, so there are indeed Slavic Turkic peoples, or people who are a mix of both (genetically *and* linguistically: for example, Cossacks)
