Builds for all meta classes will be posted in our discord this week! Also streaming this non-stop @ twitch.tv/kanonxo - come hang out, ask me questions
One thing I learned from years of playing mmorpgs is that choosing a class you’ll enjoy the most in the long run, regardless of power scaling, will always be better than playing a “meta” you don’t enjoy. Also, the “meta” can change in the blink of an eye, so prioritizing enjoyment rather than efficiency can and will lead to a better experience.
I subscribed to this channel due to the attention of detail content of Throne and Liberty. Ive gained so much TL knowledge due to this channel. Thank you.
Im going to copy something i saw on the Reddit for T&L the other day, and tell me how you feel about it cause it seems that it would actually be a great idea for them in the near future. I think Throne and Liberty looks great, and I've been very excited for it alongside my friends, however I feel one thing missing from the game that I really hope they introduce soon is a actual "Class" or "Specialization" system, maybe around level 10 or 20 so Players who already started, of course wouldn't have to restart, only accept a quest or something given to them on logging in after the update.... They could simply introduce it on top of the Weapons something like Ashes of Creation is doing, and I just feel it would add a lot to the progression and combat side of the game, as the ideas they can do for classes are much like the ones we see in games such as Ashes of Creation/WoW or Lost Ark and BDO for example, without killing the idea of a "unique weapon" system, as they could just allow any "class" to play with MOST weapons if not a big deal, then any class could use all Weapons, however maybe only limit it to certain classes so if they ever in the future want to make additional Weapon Types that certain classes can only choose from/use.... Which btw i expect them to add new Weapons or something, as its.... kinda the only "Classes" in the game for them to add onto or release lol, unless they in fact are eventually going to add a "Specialization" or "Class" system in the future of the game, which I very much hope for along with others. (i.e a Mage could use a 2H sword or Daggers/Swords, making them a Melee-Spellcasting/Buffing Mage, or a Shield/Sword Using tank-like Mage or Priest (aka turning into a Paladin for example if Priest) which is a very cool concept btw and I wish a MMO would do it before Ashes of Creation does, which probably releases in 2030 lmao, as they are doing Classes PLUS Weapon skill system which I think is indepth and needed in a MMO of todays standards, we've seen MMOs try Weapons as Classes and just sorta die off overtime as weapons being introduced are 10x less exciting then a brand new "Class" with a talent/skill tree to explore...*cough* New World) What do you all think? Im personally very hyped for the game and the changes they are making for Global but just think they could forsure do a bit more on the "vertical" and "horizontal" progression sides of things alongside a "Classes/Specialization/Archetype" system...
Great guide, will probably try out the Bow + Dagger combo (the dagger seems to be broken support weapon, hopefully they'll fix it so more builds are available)
Not sure if anyone thought of this but when we get access to the weapon expression update, I plan to go hard with s/s + wand and maximize the bonuses and cooldowns of Bastion and Reflect Barrier to try to turn my tank build almost into a porcupine build. What I'm hoping for is that Bastion has the option of only effecting me but cutting the cooldown by a lot. Using the passive that grants bonus damage against taunted targets I can then taunt enemies, pop bastion to make my DR go out of control, then activate reflect barrier and watch as the enemies delete their HP when they hit me.
wand also gives a shield to a friendly target when you use curse explosion and your target has your touch of despair on it. you can also aoe touch of despair with the wand block. i like wand / bow more than wand / sns. i can remove any debuff or cc using the bow skills, get some extra cc, or reset a skill using blitz (can do double massive party heals xd), get extra durability from passives while still one shotting players with stacked curses and explosion and healing myself or my team. don't need crit and I can get infinite mana from mana regen instead plus enough hp and defense to survive any combo from any weapon.
I will definitely start Dagger, and then leaning into comboing with Bow. Why? I want to be as flexible as possible with 2 weapons to later lean into 3: Even though it’s not the strongest combo, the Bow makes the PvE leveling/farming bit easy as hell and Dagger is the best combo with most, so always a good weapon to pick up. This will open up A LOT of paths to settle in at the end game. Depending on the skill expansions patch. And if Bow + Dagger gets wild I will definitely stick with that. I could pickup Staff and continue Bow + Staff with Daggers as a third spec for Staff + Dagger. Maybe Bow + Dagger gets wild. I could pick up GS for GS + Dagger. Could pickup XBow for XBow + Dagger (though I am not a high APM fan and they will nerf this). Heck I could even pickup Wand to make it Bow + Wand after the skill patch to become healer if I want. Could even pick up and then deep dive SnS with Dagger and later add GS. Then drop Bow altogether for example. Seeing some of the skill patch stuff I am leaning towards Staff + Dagger/Bow. Moving while casting, blinks, stealth, with fast casting times, etc. Are you kidding me? :D. I am getting WoW frost mage duking vibes here :D. With also a chance to throw in Bow… Maybe the good old GS+Dagger when everything else fails.
cant wait to play a game you're covering again, kanon! hopefully an AU steam account is all i need to play and not a vpn to stay connected otherwise its gg for me. SEA bros out here catching Ls over and over.
Thank you for this, it has been so long since this game has been announced for western market and I didn't follow it at all because of how long it took. Now I know what I will start with.
Very good video. Have you left out the passive skills intentionally because of the incoming update with the tree skills like LA have and you will cover all of those in anuda video?
How much does your skill, reaction speed, rotation matters for PvE DPS? Can f2p outdmg non-f2p in dungeons by executing everything nicely, or is It more p2w heavy and stats just matter? As outcome of previous question, is it better go Tank SnS+whatever or DD Dagger+whatever for f2p+?
Is there a difference to weapon combination depending on which slot they're in? Let's say you do GS/Dagger. Is that the same as Dagger/GS? Does every weapon only have 6 skills? Since I'm seeing 6 skills on the left half of the bar and 6 on the right. Makes me think that, for example, GS skills are on the left and dagger on the right. Or are there a bunch of skills per weapon and you choose where to bind them?
So the only difference between GS/Dagger and Dagger/GS is that the mastery (masteries are passives that you unlock by level up the weapon, they are different from the weapon passive skills) of the weapon that is in hand is used. That means when you use a Dagger skill you use the mastery from the dagger, and same for any other weapon. (If you have a mastery passive that gives you 20 critical hit, it is active only when the weapon of said mastery is in hand.) Every weapon currently has 11 active skills, 7 passive skills, 1 block/Dodge roll with 1 counter attack for each. You can mix and match any of the actives and passives however you like in your skill bar (Is doesn't need to be 6 GS and 6 Dagger). And you can chose one block from any of the two weapon you're equipped with.
I've spent about 5 hours previously and didn't take to the game but going to try it again see what I think this time. I am thinking either Crossbow+Dagger or Sword+Shield
Can and will you put out some build guides for beginners before the game launches in the west? Also a walk through of the gearing process for free to play players.
just download it today and cant wait to try greatsword/sns which i played for most game. But will the mechanic be different when play on PS5? can you do a video playing this game on PS5? Many thanks
If I want to be as annyoing to enemies in mass pvp as possible (something like ice mage, warlock) would Bow + Staff or Staff + Wand be better choice? I dont really care about having some huge DMG,. I want enemies to feel miserable.
This game looks to have potential if the PVE is there late game. I cannot see it succeeding long term with a PVP focus. but they need more options when it comes to weapons like when litterally every DPS is playing ranged bow, a tank is forced sword ,and board and a healer is forced wand. Theres no reason to run the melee DPS right now and if you are you have no reason not to pick a range weapon with it so ...... I mean you basically have 3 classes in the game with very little variety in playstyle. it also makes most people 1 man armies which is boring class design.

Don’t let them try to gaslight you, bud. You’re absolutely right. It’s a huge draw back and it’s something that devs aren’t smart enough to handle.
I was watching ppl 1 v 5 or even 1 v 8 dagger bow
Hi when is the global release of this game in mobile?
One thing I learned from years of playing mmorpgs is that choosing a class you’ll enjoy the most in the long run, regardless of power scaling, will always be better than playing a “meta” you don’t enjoy. No, it's not. Playing what you enjoy can turn in an unenjoyable experience
@@Naicht no need to whine in the comments. Just play whatever you want.

Shout out to you Kanon been around since the 1HP discord you have really blown up 🏆🏆🏆
Great review Kanon! Is there any diff between choosing which weapon as main if the combo stays the same? Ex: is Staff+Wand = Wand+Staff? Thanks!
same question i got
Great guide, will probably try out the Bow + Dagger combo (the dagger seems to be broken support weapon, hopefully they'll fix it so more builds are available)
Damn. U killed this, very well done video

Wow! This game is Linage 2 on steriods!
Found my new MMO!
Great vids by the way!
This is by far the best guide on clases I have seen. Thank you 🙏
Staff + wand seems like my type of stuff for PvP/Events, looks like that rare Wand is really in desire on KR.
we need another video like this with skill specialization into consideration
wand also gives a shield to a friendly target when you use curse explosion and your target has your touch of despair on it. you can also aoe touch of despair with the wand block. i like wand / bow more than wand / sns. i can remove any debuff or cc using the bow skills, get some extra cc, or reset a skill using blitz (can do double massive party heals xd), get extra durability from passives while still one shotting players with stacked curses and explosion and healing myself or my team. don't need crit and I can get infinite mana from mana regen instead plus enough hp and defense to survive any combo from any weapon.

Awesome overview! This info is just what you need when deciding for a class. Can you give more info about the upcoming changes yet?
Good video. Keep it up!

having a hard time deciding between Xbow/dagger or Gs/dagger.
both were super fun to play in the Beta.
super excited to try out this new mmorpg as I just got into WoW!
hi nice video :) is it a only pvp game or does it have a lot of pve content ?
thanks for guide!
Goat wep guide, all in one gg

@@funkix60 That answered all my questions, appreciate it! Sounds like an interesting system, tbh.
God damn... looks like I'm going to have a hard time choosing weapons in this game
hey love to see fellow AA enjoyer got 9 000 hours on that game , was dope before 3.0
Thanks for this video!
Thx was wondering before searching for this if staff/wand is the best choice
New weapon guide after 24th July. ^^
As strange as it may sound, I think I'd like sns crossbow
I've spent about 5 hours previously and didn't take to the game but going to try it again see what I think this time. I am thinking either Crossbow+Dagger or Sword+Shield
Do you guys think, this time, it will be a big W this game ?
cant wait for the global release ! but like EVERY MMO , the dagger is broken :P
Can and will you put out some build guides for beginners before the game launches in the west? Also a walk through of the gearing process for free to play players.
6:08 Holy shit active block? thats it, Imma be a tank main
Would you do a video on your thoughts on every possible weapon combination?
Very good job on that video.
Great Video thanks a lot
wow...best guide ever!!!
just download it today and cant wait to try greatsword/sns which i played for most game. But will the mechanic be different when play on PS5? can you do a video playing this game on PS5? Many thanks
that GS lookin QT
Will go probable with 3 weapons, Staff/Bow and a Wand. I'll like to be Helaer en PVE and sometimes use the Staff with the bow in PVP.
Your toon looks sic af
Great vid Kan.
I'd probably settle with PoE 2 though ;_;
IM BALD
Thx a lot!
nice video!
very helpful bro
I would go SNS/Wand or SNS/Dagger. I love tanks and will be happy to join a good guild.
I like this game so far. Feels like GW2 with updated graphics
i think it feels more like gw1 because mixing weapons feels like mixing classes in gw1, which is a big bonus in my book
Open Beta Test is in three days not couple of weeks
What would be your recommended setup for a premade group ?to perform mostly at guild activities
Torn between SnS/Dagger and CBow/Dagger
I just discovered brave nine and been having a blast they give you like a gajillion gacha summons.
How hard would it be to have 3 or 4 weapons to swap between? Also Greatsword and crossbow isn't viable?
I can tell alot of work has been put into this. Liked
will try dagger+xbow
You said "predatory strike" again when talking about Dagger. After weapon expressions, on KR, I am not seeing Predatory Strike as a skill with Dagger?
Ima beee a sword and shield guy :)
W video
Hypeeee
do u have an allround build to recommend? One where u also dont get too easily shut down in 1v1. Was thinking staff wand atm
If I want to be as annyoing to enemies in mass pvp as possible (something like ice mage, warlock) would Bow + Staff or Staff + Wand be better choice? I dont really care about having some huge DMG,. I want enemies to feel miserable.
good guide
What game would you compare it's combat with? More closer to ESO or FF14?
have you heard of Silkroad Online its korean game, Its almost identical from it but an upgrade.
Exact same weapon and class system as new world. Im shocked it has not been referenced.
What is the difference between using a weapon in primary or secondary?
staff+wand
Going with SnS + wand on OB cuz i really wanna be TANK af and i'll try to get number 1 priority on parties
what is my main weapon when i play bow + staff? Does it matter? Bow?
100% the best guide video about classes in TL.
beta is next week right ? 18th
it starts in 5 1/2 hours :)
