I love the riffs so much, I can quote almost any scene. The montage of them building the Interocitor is great. "Industry! Science and technology!" "Build your own atom storage box!" "Snaps on any size jug, bottle or jar! And it really, REALLY works!"
@@samportillo7635 Servo had a good one with "What kinda shithole planet is this!?" when Exeter is showing Cal and Ruth the view of Metaluna as it is getting decimated by the attacks from their enemies.
I remember buying this on VHS back in '97. My mom, may she rest in peace, wasn't familiar with MST3K. I can still hear her laughing through this whole part. Thanks for sharing.
"You know what my kids would say.... "YOU'RE NOT MY REAL FATHER!" "Is this' metal? ."I have a bet with Joe." "Joe, I'm in one of these boxes. Come and find me!" "There's it done what do you think?" "Before unpacking?"
I've heard filming this movie was a nightmare, what with studio meddling and whatnot. I think all the suffering was worth it, though, this is still one of my all-time favorites!
This was the first one seen, I was in highschool at the time in band, and our music teacher played it for us on a short day. I still think about this one quite often lol
Joe: You're too darn smart. Cal: I may be the dumbest man who ever walked this Earth, Joe. Pretty poignant line by Cal given what he and Joe were experiencing from reading the catalog regarding the Interocitor parts, due to the fact they are facing something no one on Earth has *EVER* seen before.
Coleman rocks a delivery man outfit! The lead up to this is great, as Coleman strides to the door in a postal(like) uniform: "Sort this, sort that, I'll make 'em all pay!" (hmmpf, hmmpf) I don't like you.
I'm still kind of partial to "Where can I empty my hat?" and "What's this 'and the rest' crap?" Of course, there's always "And if your hands were metal, that would mean something."
Well you have those damn movie executives to thank for that. One of the things Paramount insisted on was that the movie they riffed could not be "that bad." To their credit, Mike and the Bots, managed to make some pretty good jokes without taking too much away from the movie itself. I was still drawn in watching Cal and Joe do their experiments and assembling the interociter.
I still wonder why this movie is the only piece of media related to MST3K to ever be officially released in my country, I want all of the episodes, come on... Still, this is a really funny movie that I love to watch with some friends.
I think this is the only movie they can still sell because they lost the rights to a lot of the movies in the episodes. I mean, it's a big internet but this is the only stuff on dvd or higher I've ever found.
SammEater You need to buy a region-free DVD player and buy the American DVD box sets on ebay. That would be pricey, though. I hooked up a Roku to my TV, and I get Pluto TV through it, which has and entire channel dedicated to MST3K (and one dedicated to its successor, RiffTrax). That’s practically all I watch on TV now. You’d have to check and see if it’s available in your country, though.

"here's something my wife could use in the house"
"A man?!"
OUCH!!! lol.
"There's 2,486 parts."
**crick**
"...485, sir."
Very funny
Brought here by Roahm's reference to that, by any chance?
@@ZeldaTheSwordsman When was it?
XD And just the little crunching sounds Crow adds as Joe is stepping over the Interocitor parts so they can build it makes it work so well!
"Here's something my wife could use in the house."
"A man?"
owned.
"Cal, you bitch!" gets me every time.
It's the delivery from Tom that makes it so good!
It's the one time I've heard the word bitch used in a non-sexist but still insulting way lol
The bit that really killed me (and still does):
"Nor-mal view! Nor-mal VIEW! NOR-MAL VIEW!"
Mine's "Eastman! He came from the East to do battle with THE AMAZING RANDO!" in the credits.
“It’s The Brack Show starring me, I’m Brack! It’s The Brack Show and I got lots of good guests!”

The delivery guy at the beginning is director-to-be Coleman Francis! Oh, what pain he later unleashed upon us poor unsuspecting MSTies...
That's why Joe is glaring at him. He knows what's coming!
Sort this, deliver that! He really did make them all pay!
At goofy clown face.
I never get tired of this movie.
Looks like a Fuzz Face Pedal
"No, sir. That's paper."

I just want you to know, this comment thread made my day.
"Joe! I'm in one if these boxes! Find me!"
I got my interocitor back in 85 and its still going strong. They just don't build them like that anymore.
At least it wasn't made in China. 😆
You use it to make hot chocolate, too?
I first saw this when I was 8. I'm 22 now and am still laughing hysterically.
Now you’re 31…Are you still laughing? (I hope so!)
You’re still a young fan

"it's the amazing technicolor cheese wedge!"

2:45, my favorite line in the whole movie!
My all time favorite MST3K scene. Always leaves me crying with laughter.
Sign this deliver that I'll make them pay...
The guy in the glasses was in the original " The Thing "
What? Which guy was he?
"Wilt...Chamberlain."
I'm gonna start saying "give to daddy" every time somebody hands me something.
Interocitor rebranded & is now known as Vizio!
Watching the movie first probably wasn't the best way to start the series, but the movie will always be my favorite "episode"

That's my favorite joke in the whole movie, I was kinda mad when this clip cut off RIGHT as it was starting.

This movie does not deserve to be riffed by MST3K.

Give to daddy
It's strange how a line that I have heard a million times will suddenly start making me laugh. Just now I kept cracking up at "Give to daddy."
@ReijiThePhantom Perhaps that's why for the brief second he was on screen the movie became TOTALLY UNWATCHABLE.
