more supply will reduce prices.
      2. Corporations explored cheaper sources of supply from South East Asia like Malaysia 🙋🏻‍♂️, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.

I am living in the UK right now and I don’t think there’s a so called solution for this predicament. My energy bill doubled since April and it will quadruple after September comparing with the same time last year. Many basic commodities such as sunflower oil, butter, chicken and iceberg cost 50%-100% more today in my area than 4 months ago. The astronomical energy prices, global inflation, supply chain disruptions, war in Ukraine, Brexit and pandemic… So many factors are responsible for the inflation, whereas so little can be done to ease any of those. Yet I do agree that simply increase the wages is out of the option cus that will only exacerbate the already precarious situation. Sadly, People in Britain will suffer, just like people in else where. In a globalized world, no one can really escape this.

Take this as an opportunity to change the bad living habits, e.g.
    1. Eat less carbohydrate, reduce sugar, bread, rice, potato...etc consumption,
they tend to make you more hungry.
    2. Instead, use fruits to replace your lunch.
    Reduce energy loss at home,
    3. get some insulating boards and stick them on the walls, that should reduce the energy bills in winter.
    4. Use the bubble warps and stick them to the windows in the winter, give one more layer of insulation.

As they are the reserved currency, US exports its inflation across the world.

That's becoz of capitalism..... I am an investor, I am not willing to drop my living standard, while everything is on the rise, so I pass this onto the poor. Let them do the work for me. If stuff gets a little more expensive than in the past, I would ask the poor to work harder. It's that simple. That's why during this crisis, I can still make more money than everyone else, because I have the capital while everyone else is just a worker. Sorry, I am hijacking Susie's channel to spread other ideals here. In my days, a litre of petrol was just 50-55p. I am shocked it's now costing 2 quid per litre. How much is a pint of ale cost now?

Handling stagflation is very tricky, but I don't think the UK now is suffering the stagflation. I've been learning finance these days and got some basic ideas for this situation. The unemployment rate in the UK is not high right now, around 3.5%. Therefore, the Bank of England has some space to increase the policy rate. The critical point of this monetary policy is to keep the exchange rate to reduce energy import costs. Government must seek new energy sources, including building nuclear power plants. Furthermore, the government must use transfer payments to compensate truck drivers to keep the supply chain robust. The last thing to do is to wait for the US midterm election. After the republicans get control of the parliament, the commodity market will change their expectations of the future price. Just some personal nonsense.

I am presimistic about this crisis. Idk. I think current inflation is driven by *supply* problems, not demand. It's not like the people are having too much money and decided to buy 2 cars, buy 2 houses and turn on electricity when nobody is home.
Increasing rates won't reduce the already normal demand so much.
