It would be cool if whenever Kevin wanted to talk they put his face in the popcorn like he was inside the machine.
Or or hear me out
When kevin goes to talk they let his face in the popcorn thing but it's always muted cuz who wants to hear from Kevin
Am I right 👍
You know an in review is gonna be a classic when Greg grabs the microphone stand and starts standing up mid-rant. Taking me back to the old X men in review days 😭
Hawkman is reincarnated every time he dies and usually regains the memories of his past lives as he gets older, and Doctor Fate's helmet gives him longer than normal life. That's why they have been friends for a very long time and would have predated the Justice League. Of course they didn't show any of that in any of DCEU before now so there is no way anyone would know that unless they were really familiar with those characters history.
The hierarchy of power of "In Review" is about to change!
I know right!? Nick is on the end and Andy is back in the middle
Not sure why it was so hard to recognize that a 2-2 tie needs a tiebreaker. It's not like it's the first time there's been a tie through Kinda Funny's In Review series. Greg was correct.
There was no 2-2 tie, Tim put his hand down and the vote continued with just the three voting.
@@CheefChaos There absolutely was a 2-2 tie. 2/4 is not a majority. Yes Greg and Tim put their hands down at different times but you need 3 hands (or majority) to keep going. They didn't not have that.
Andy's straight faced stare while Greg is going off seals the deal for me here.
I don’t want to watch this in theaters, but I’m so excited for this in review lol
i absolutely LOVE andy playing his keyboard thing for the podcast within a podcast intros.
Viola Davis is like “Cut the check!”
Every time they mentioned atom smasher I heard Adam smasher and had to take a half-second to remind myself that they're talking about a spandex guy, not the super cyborg from Cyberpunk.
I watched the film and this entire episode and thought they were both called 'Adam Smasher' until your comment.
I live for Greg ranting about the DCEU
It was annoying
I haven’t even seen the movie yet, and usually I don’t like spoilers, but I was too excited for a greg rant, so I had to watch this one early! 😂😂😂
God dam do I love Greg rants 😂. Great work as always KF Crew 💙
Finally I agree with Greg on something
I cannot believe KF have Man of Steel at 7 on this list lol.. crazy times
@@IAMBATwal I wouldn't take it that far man.. I meant it in a light hearted way to be honest. There is more than just Greg reviewing these movies.. I am just biased
This In Review is how I choose to watch the movie
Me too!
I FUCKING LOVE WHEN GREG GOES OFF IN THESE IN REVIEWS!!! He speaks for me in so many ways as a long time DC comics fan!! 🤣😂🤣
I’ll never be over watching you guys be in person again. It’s still so damn hype!
Hawkman, Meg & Boff. International law attorneys with specialty in due process.
It's the main lesson we learned from Black Adam is that we need five people on all in reviews from now on
I don’t get if Kevin watched the movie AND is in the studio, why doesn’t he just vote for the official ranking?
@@austinmcmanus1397 for real the person in broadcast should be the tie breaker
John Hawkmin loves due process 😂
Really like this format of people in the studio and people from remote. I feel like it flowed extremely well even though you all weren't in the same room. Opens the door to a lot of interesting guest opportunities!
It's nice but I feel like I wouldn't want that to be overused. Seeing an in-person dynamic is so refreshing/less depressing...it's good to have a variety of cool guests but I'd only want it to be utilized in like
Meant to post this in the Halloween Ends video, whoops!
@@danielberesford2899 That's totally fair and I actually agree for the core KF members, but before if like James and Elyse couldn't make it to SF, they wouldn't be on the podcast AT ALL. Whereas now they can via remote. That's why I said it's going to be nice for guests going forward.
@@fabioarapi1043 yeah - probably something I just need to get used to (to an extent) because you’re right, it’s pretty cool they can have those guests
Let’s go!!!!! Been waiting for this all weekend!!!!!!
Man Of Steel was literally on TCM just last week so Nick is not (completely) crazy
At the end Greg got it right, and Tim just couldnt admit he was wrong. That needed a tie breaker.
Great review :D
Btw is it just me or is it kind of confusing to see the posters changing all the time on the far left and right? Maybe that's just a framing thing but it's a bit distracting to be honest. 😅 Love the new studio though!
Was waiting for this!
To the DCEU's credit, I never for once thought Hawkman was a copy of Falcon.
That set design is incredible 😂
Bruh it’s soo fucking cool
@@patriots234 Maybe it's because they've been on the "Zoom Call" for the past few years, it seems like a giant step-up...... But no, this set is fucking RAD. Looking like SportsCenter... but for nerd shit lol.
He was a big buff, tough stuff, flying purple yeeter
Story was thin. But the action and comedy hit. Rock was good, the entire JSA worked. I had full confidence in fate and Hawkman, but was worried about smasher and cyclone, and they worked. Fantastic set btw.
I love how Greg got so mad he almost turned into Lola from big mouth
Completely agree with greg here
holy shit, I was just listening in the background and switched over to watch! The graphics you guys made for In Review are fantastic!
I legit don't understand the way voting works anymore hah
Man…I love the new studio so much
New all time best Greg Rant.
The big new evil in the DC universe is SABACC… the Star Wars card game played by Lando when he lost the Falcon to Han Solo! 😜
This movie was dope to watch at the theaters. Exciting fight scenes and some cool dynamics between the cast. It’s def a movie from 2005 but just updated visuals. Though the story is not executed well, what it is trying to say was actually good and I appreciated it. Reminded me of Saturday cartoons just more death 😅
Terrible taste
I wish we got a Dr Fate movie instead of this, Pierce Brosnan was great in that role.
And honestly, I think the Dr Fate costume is one of the coolest superhero costumes of all time.
This is so validating,...I said from the day this was announced....why are we doing a movie on black adam again? The fact that this movie exists and a sequel to cavills superman doesn't is baffling..
Y'all set my expectations so low for this that I ended up liking it way more than I expected 😂
I liked the generic sky beam, took me back to 2012
You could spend all of Eternium searching for Unobtainium only to end up with Vibranium & Adamantium :) Would be good to see The Rock finally work with some great directors & scripts and actually challenge himself, wish he'd be more like Bautista & Cena in partnering up with great directors and letting them take the lead in those projects! With him furiously hyping up a Black Adam vs Superman movie and seemingly skipping Shazam, it feels like they're already rushing to it like they did with BvS with not enough good storytelling done beforehand to make you truly care and for it to really matter. I fear that movie will essentially be the 3rd Act of Man of Steel but this time for most of the entire movie with insane amounts of CGI destruction with Black Adam (cos it'll be The Rock's movie on which he'll be a Producer) not losing!
Heyyy, the Nitro Rifle looking good in that Frame Rate Merch
300K when did this milestone happen? 🎉
The hierarchy of ranking power has DEFINITELY changed.
What on earth!! We need a redo, that’s simply not how math or ranking works.
The hierarchy of chowder is about to change
Excited to watch this! I simply cannot get over how amazing it is to have the crew back together in person. The dynamic is so much better and that's saying something because even the work from home shows were so damn good.
Also a reminder that the volume is too low on shows right now. Typically listen to old KF stuff and other media at volume level 30 and new KF stuff has to get pumped up to 50 to get the same volume. Edit: By around 40:00 I had to turn it up to 60. Not sure how it got even quieter.
I dunno if thats gonna ring true with this one. Greg is popping off!!!!! Lol.
@@JigInsane nope. Still too low.
Yea there has been alot of audio issues since the studio but i know big kev dawg will sort it
@@baundiesel haven't had a chance to listen yet. Only got to Greg standing and shouting snd had to head out to work and left my earphones at home. Smh. I'm certain it will all sort out over time.
Completely agree with you. When I watch on my TV in remote times I had my volume at like 20-30, now I have to go to 50-60 just to start making it the same. Probably just needs time to sort out.
Haven't seen the movie yet but I'm glad I watched this for Greg going off
There was a lot a facepalm moments they brought up, but once Tim said something about zombies... That solidified my decision to wait until it's on HBO Max
The zombies are supposedly an allegory for Republican voters.
Some of these criticisms do not ring true to me.
-I don't see what's wrong with wanting due process for terrorists. If you could apprehend them, why wouldn't you? These superheroes in particular should have no problem taking at least some of them into custody. Terrorists are killed most of the time, sure, but Guantanamo Bay does exist.
-The hero/not a hero thing, I think, is just a matter of different characters' POVs. The JSA sees things in black-and-white and can't accept a different way of being a hero, therefore they see BA as a villain; the people of Kahndaq see him as a hero because he took out their oppressors; and BA himself doesn't see himself either way. Thus, by the end, it's decided that he can be something in between. He will crush anyone who stands in his or Kahndaq's way without blinking, but he won't necessarily go out of his way to antagonize anyone.
We did see Rock as an imminent threat, when he was in the hoodie killing all the 1st soldiers, we had no idea if the lady would be killed by him too till he saved her, so for the bulk of the action scene, he was actually scary and they kept his eyes covered intentionally for that tone. It is similar to the beginning of T2 when you're not sure if Arnold's good or not.
The Rock also played a scary pursuer/killer for the first half of Fast Five, as well as the majority of Faster, so he's not obsessed with being a likable/charming guy, the director probably just wanted that out of him.
You were scared of rock in fast five and faster??
@@WebstarGaming
If I was in the vicinity of his character in-person, yea, the dude was killing people left and right with no concern over his "charm". In the movie Faster for example, every single character around him was scared to death of him.
@@Alex_Logan22 He wasn't really all that scary in "Black Adam" to be honest. To Greg's point, it was probably because he was killing the people who essentially deserved it: Intergang and those openly oppressing the people of Kandaaq. In "Fast Five", he was for sure a great pseudo-antagonist, but nothing he does there is all that different from what he does in "Black Adam", or any of his post-Disney action-movies for that matter; right down to the fact he ends up teaming up with whoever's supposed to be "against" by film's end.
@@thedefinitionisthis
In his pursuit of Dom he was mercilessly killing people in his way and demonstrated he didn't have a problem killing the protagonists if push came to shove, even attempting to use a wrench on Dom. He was a scary threat for the main protagonists till they saved him.
Hahahahahahahahah thought a woman would b killed indiscriminately in a superhero movie with the rock rated pg13. Honestly I did chuckle reading that
Tim’s trippin rewatch suicide squad. This is 10x better than that
Last all my kids loved it from age 15 down to 5yr . Plus me I didn't know most the characters. So I just watch the movie for what it was.
It was something to be in the theater and watch a mom and her son cheering Black Adam on when the JSA show up. But then after killing a handful of people(yes those people were bad) having civilians cheering. That kid going through the streets yelling that they finally have a hero, seems tone deaf when you look at where it is supposed to take place, the rock’s background, the people’s background, and the idea that he’s just a “hero” that kills being the one they want to represent them.
It's Morbin Time
Half of you will think this movie is dumb fun. And the other half will think this movie is just dumb.
When Greg’s glasses came off, you knew this is gonna be a great review.
Most definately!! He wasted no time getting to it. Lol.
I love when he goes off, doesn’t even matter if I agree with him or not it’s endlessly entertaining! lol
Sound has been a bit low on all shows in the studio.
When are this and the She Hulk one going up as podcasts?
Shoutout to the Saints Row: The Third moment
Greg man Greg 😂
You guys messed up RaGuBaGu. Black Adam is the bad guy in the movie-he literally keeps telling us he’s not the hero.
That RaGu Bagu list has gotten so unruly and silly! They can’t even keep track of who is called what? lol
55:55 really thought they were going to reveal that he already had powers, but just wanted more with the crown. surviving being crushed without a scratch, and reveal that he flew the other guy in the air and dropped him. but nope.
The hierarchy of power something something
The more I think about it this movie would have been so much better if they just replaced the justice society with shazam
Something happened to me in this movie that has never happened before but i genuinely fell asleep TWICE in this movie to be woken by my girlfriend and friends laughing cause i couldn’t keep my eyes open. The rock was right about the hierarchy of the DCEU changing, this is now the No.1 most boring film in the DCEU.
Volume low or something wrong with my earphones?
Well that was an awkward ending lol
Pierce Brosnan was cool as Dr Fate. Action was plentiful which was needed. The dialogue, script, story, acting not soo much. I enjoyed it as a popcorn flick however because every time I was thinking, this isn’t great, more action would start too tell me shut up and eat more popcorn
I definitely don't agree. Personally Black Adam is in my top 5 but I do love have intense Greg gets with the reviews
I love how they kept destroying the mom and kid’s house throughout the whole movie… and they never mentioned it
Greg chill it’s just a movie 😂😂
It's the hierarchy of power!
consistently wrong about Aquaman, still love y'all
I give a like for the rc looper
life insurance lmao
The plot is very thin, but I still had a lot of fun. The movie has a lot of style and pretty great action. The camera was also inventive with some cool shots. It reminded me of an early 2000s cape flick with the cheese and camp, but I was for it. The kid was tolerable and the catch phrase joke actually got me.
Too much slow-mo and some odd ass music choices, but with lovable characters who I’m so glad just already exist in this world. Fate and Hawkman were awesome. I also think the score is straight up fantastic. Black Adam’s theme is fire and immediately added to the gym playlist.
It’s a mess, but it’s a fun mess. I can’t lie and say I wasn’t smiling for a lot of the movie, especially the post credit. I think The Rock’s clear passion for this universe and the characters is infectious. I just hope the next go around is a better product overall.
This whole movie reminded me of the bad movies starring The Seven in the "The Boys" universe.
Black Adam adjusting to modern society and language was the best superpower.
Comedians name is Mo Ahmer
I haven't seen Black Adam yet but I think the only truly bad DC movies are Suicide Squad and WW2. It's mostly pretty good, not amazing but good. Hopefully James Gunn can turn the DCEU from good to great.
Pls turn up the mic sensitivity or tell Greg to stop mumble at the end of the sentence
To each is their own, but man that's a weird DC films list y'all got right there....
Why
@@R17759 I like Birds of Prey, but it's way too high up on the list
I liked the movie
Its what I imagine punching The Rock is like in real life
It doing absolutely nothing to him
The people’s champ as a comic book character
I’m watching it again in theaters
AMC A-List FTW
I know timing is a bitch, but I bet Ukraine would love a Black Adam.
Wow ...
Birds of prey above man of steel
Andy's slander of Aquaman can't keep going unchecked. That movie is fun as heck and has an incredibly cohesive tone and vision for the world.
Surprisingly my least favorite part was the Rock as Black Adam. I expected with him having as much control as he did that he would've had them write him some better lines. It felt like a WWE movie dialog for him. The rest of the JSA I thought stole the show and were much better written and acted. Though I do agree with the obvious plot hole of the JSA not caring about intergang before Black Adam shows up. It wasn't the worst DCEU movie I've seen but it was far from the best.
Adamantine was in Paradise Lost
I'm rarely with Tim on rankings, but I'd probably place this dead last in the DCEU, too. Shocking that Andy & Nick would want it above _Aquaman_ (which I guess shouldn't be too shocking since it's on brand with their tastes) but I'm with Greg on not having it above ZSJL. I'm not even a Zack Snyder fan, and yeah that cut's 4 hours long, but it's leagues better than _Black Adam_
I'm totally with Greg on this. This was not good, but it had some good moments. The plot was messy and bloated. I'm also with Greg on the voting, it was tied around Aquaman. Oh well
Oh man, I've missed Greg going off like this about things he's passionate or pissed about 😂👏🏾
So it’s basically Dr. Strange , falcon with shield, Ant Man vs lighting Superman/thor
I was hesitant to watch this...then Greg started ranting.
To be clear…TIM WAS 100% RIGHT. Just want to be sure you all knew.
You guys have such different taste than me... it wasn't perfect but I thought this movie was good fun! 3rd act was the usual cgi poop but the rest was a good bit of popcorn fun.
Yeh, I was telling my friend it was like a dumb fun movie. Great, no, but watchable and enjoyable. Also, I don't have the affinity for the dceu that Greg does. So I can see the frustration. But i enjoyed it.
@@JigInsane I also had no idea who Black Adam was before watching, but I get the frustration when they change up a favourite character. Going into this not knowing anything and expecting nothing, it was good fun. Way better than some of the last marvel projects (...ahem...she hulk...) that they seemed to love. To each their own
I felt like this movie literally stole scenes from other movies, like the slo mo out of the mountain was literally a quicksilver scene, terminator 2 in general, a man gets chucked of a cliff with slow mo in filter like 300 the list goes on…
Sound is so low, you guys...
This was kind of a rough movie to watch lol
"International stability" AKA preserving the status quo -- one where America is the world's superpower (we all know where those stolen natural resources were going). They didn't fuck up the Justice Society of America -- it was a pointed commentary on interventionism & what passes for justice in America. Amanda Waller is a villain once again like she was in Suicide Squad, except she sent the Faces instead of the Heels for this mission (hence all the grandstanding about not killing). I mean it's cut and dry allegory for the US military & private military contractors' occupation in the Middle East to extract oil for Roxxon - - I mean Exxon. I think they handled that aspect rather well.
