The posh people want it shut and the posh people get what they want...
I've said it before - all the council need to do is install simple traffic lights - ones that stay red until a vehicle is close, then turn green - this would fix the speeding issue. Maybe that would be too cheap and easy though.
That's a really good idea. The lights could also be connected to a water level sensor so they stay red when the ford is too deep to safely drive through.
Unless it's backed up with a camera people would still drive through on Red.

People start think go to technical servise to remote car too expensive...maybe..

1 Recorded accident, they want the full road shut?
Why aren't they closing every other road in the county that's had an accident on it? There will be stretches somewhere that will have seen multiple deaths and the council will have done sweet FA!

Simple answer is CCTV, re open the ford and any dangerous driving gets a ticket so then locals can go about their business normally and other roads will return to normal traffic levels.
If councils weren't so cheap these days they could build a simple bridge here.
Doesn’t need anything there. It’s been fine for the last 100 years
