Kyushu Japan by Camper Van: Day 2

- Hita City in Oita Prefecture is just 2 hours drive from Fukuoka airport.
We didn’t really intent to stick around for too long but found that the area had a lot to offer.
One of my most memorable moments was meeting the owner of Alaska cafe who sat with us to talk about his life story. I am grateful for his time, to hear about his adventures, and learn about his origami journey.
Japan truely is an easy place to travel without a plan and using hot springs makes it not just convenient but kinda luxury even on a budget trip.
As for the campervan, I would recommend our style camper for the basic traveller at a backpacker level. There are more options available with the company we are using, Samurai Campers, just think carefully about what you need and want to achieve on your trip.

Samurai Campers is great! just think carefully about what you need
Age will help you cope with the heat! I am now fine with 31c at night in my bedroom, and only wake up when an awkward arm position lets sweat drip into my eye :-( 60+ means more of risk of heatstroke, but not feeling so bad about heat is worth it.

My dream: buy an akiya (in the shimanami kaido area, I am a cold frog so no snow for me lol) and a little camper to go travelling.
Beautiful scenery! Gives you a real taste of the Natural Beauty in the mountains. Interesting thing on attack on titan statues. Not my favorite but interesting anime. Prefer the more humorous anime titles.
