Taking my 2017 Tacoma in Monday for 10K service, and I think I'll do the air filters myself and save a few bucks--thanks for the video, Mike C!

That looks easier to replace than any I've seen! And on top of that you saved 100 bucks. Now that's an early Christmas present, haha!

Thank you. This was very helpful. So easy a 67 year old great grandmother could do it. 😏. Just did.

But keep in mind that you can buy a filter at Toyota’s parts department. OEM is better. Just because you don’t know how aftermarket affects the air flow. Won’t have to worry about that when I get the specific filter at Toyota.

Its a shame they can't just charge people the $2 it should take for labor to swap one of these. Glad I could help you out!

Did your mpg improve after the new filter? If so by how much?

Not enough to notice the difference but it should have a slight improvement with a clean filter.

Thank you! This was super helpful! How often is the filter supposed to be changed?

Depends a bit on the type of driving you're doing (dusty roads vs city driving). I'd say once a year is good.

Is a Tacoma better than a tundra

It depends what you want to do with the truck.
