Indonesian here. As a team Indonesia are a good team, fluid, has teamwork and has some good offensive Players. But relax, Indonesian national has weakness as well. For example we are sucks at defense, for real. More than 20 years i watched Indonesia NT they never have history having a solid proper defense against top tier AFC NTs lol. to share my own opinion, we are f*cked no matter how u look at it. IF we make it to third or fourth we and somehow make it past round 4 to round and win, we still have the intercontinental playoffs which is basically hopeless for us. Furthermore because our FA is more corrupted than the Italian FA times 10 we can never get a proper stream of incoming players because A) our FA is so corrupt, B) we have a play-to-play system (not really sure if its still around anymore) , C) because of a lack of football education meaning that when a 青少 hits highschool, he has to choose between continuing on the football path or give up on it , D) a lack of proper investments, we spend tens of million to 规划 foreign players into the national team when still fail when we could've spend the millions into youth development. and finally a phrase "喜赢不喜输” meaning there is never a room to lose and grow meaning we are always going to be a limbo. sorry for the rant but I just felt like I needed to share this

You are not wrong but China should call up younger players. I suggest Xiang Yuwang (scoring a lot in China League One), Mao Weijie, Wang Yudong, Zhang Yutong (Red Star Belgrade U18), Lu Junhui (Belgian League U19-U21), Chen Shihan (Rochefort- Belgian 4th division, promoted to 3rd), etc.
Pay-to play is still a thing but much better than it was before. Plenty of ''poorer'' people in youth ranks.

Chinese football is hopeless, just don’t know why, I gave up long time ago, used to have a notification for Chinese team, now I gave up. It’s unbelievable we cannot nurture nor can we find 11 decent players out of 1.4 billion people, too much corruption in CFA. Chinese men are too spoilt too many me and me only attitude. I don’t see any Chinese players that get their head down and train hard, a bit of success and it goes to their head. Chinese women are much better, traditionally they are hard workers.

Indonesia is a national team built by thugs. At least Peru played in five World Cup and competed in Copa America by their own, whereas Indonesia has played a thuggish form of football for years.
