Why is one TV closer to the window when testing for reflections? Shouldn't they be one over the other so they both receive the same amount of light?

That’s a quick overview - but processing on G4 is superior to Samsung. Still no smooth gradation there so when presented with lower bitrate content you will see really nasty gradation. If you're PC gaming though you'll be limited by the one connect box on the Samsung since it uses DSC, so you won't be able to use features like Nvidia DLDSR.
Also the S95D doesn't come in 83" so if you're sitting at least 10 feet away, then the G4 is going to be the better option. Also the game mode on the G4 is perfect now compared to earlier models where the colors became slightly washed out.

I did consider B9 but few points:
      - brightness difference is negligible- highlights are dimmer, only high APL scenes shine on B9
      - micro contrast of Oled still unbeaten - in many scenes - albeit not all - you can see Sony as quite a bit washed out contrast
      - off angle viewing - 30 degrees off and you start noticing - if you won’t watch tv from that angles ever you won’t notice but if you will it might bother you - loss of color, color shift, blooming.

I do accept that QD OLED is superior when it comes to HDR colour but Samsung software and quality control leave a lot to be desired. @kevspirit1848 I'm from the UK. I spend more time than you do with these TVs in store. Especially on Currys where we have it next to each other. Played lots of content on and 4000 nits content from CZcams on film maker mode after taking the samsung out of retail mode. Everyone who works in curry and customers love samsung better in accurate mode. I sold over 250 s95c to customers last year, and I swear none of them came back with any of these issues you're talking about. The people who have made up these issues were a random guy on youtube who knew one trust and some comments, not a single proof from anyone. You probably can't prove it to me bc u won't be posting the video of this issue because there isn't one, and no one will refund tv in the UK after you have it for a month in the UK. Especially not currys and John Lewis because I work in this field. Last year, samsung was better than lg in the real blind TV shootout by Vincent FROM HDTVTEST. BETTER MOTION THAN SONY AND PANASONIC AND LG WAS LAST.
