- I’ve used Fast Etch for a long time. And it works pretty well. But lately I’ve heard more about Evaporust. I wanted to see for myself which was better. Result? Closer than you think but there is a clear winner. Watch the video to find out!

I'm so glad you did this. Thank you. I was wondering what the difference was.
Good to hear it was helpful!
@@EnoRestoration I have both products but have only tried the fast etch.
@@kurtwelday8465I’m an evaporust convert. So easy to use.
Given the Fast-Etch had been used before (note discolouration), I'd say there isn't much in it. They both contain diluted phosphoric acid, the Evao-Rust also contains some detergent.
Thanks for the comment! Yes, I had used the fast etch before. That is a nice feature for both of these products (Reusability). Despite that they both performed the same as far as getting the rust off. Evaporust in my opinion was safer and easier to use.
The thought of acid in aluminum caused me to cringe. Not a good idea even supper mild phosphoric acid. Please be careful!
Hi Joe, thanks for the comment. You got me wondering as I hadn't seen, nor do I see a warning of any kind on the bottle that this should not be used with aluminum. Digging deeper the SDS says don't store the material in metal containers. Thanks for the watchout and I'll be using plastic in the future.
