    Can the fat skimmed off when preparing beef stock be used in the same way as actual tallow? I know it will not be as nutritious but will the stock fat fry things the same way?

    I have rendered tallow from deer to us I do it on the wood stove in a water boil then strain it and place it where the water can freeze then just remove the cake of tallow. It is interesting to see how you did the beef and can use. Deer tallow is not that great to eat
