- At the age of 16, Zane Norris was a sophomore at Mosley High School in Panama City, Florida, with his whole life ahead of him. In one moment, an accident changed all that. No longer able to live his own life, Zane gave life to others. Family, friends and staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay joined together for an Honor Walk to show how they feel about this special young man.

I’m watching 2 years later . I am a respiratory therapist. I have done this walk many a time. He lives on through others now
Zane lives on in the 4 people he saved. He was 16 and an organ donor on his license. Sounds like a very thoughtful and caring young man. I was shocked to find out in my own family that besides me only 2 others are organ donors. I have been watching these videos and really encouraging my family to be heroes like Zane and be an organ donor. I am so sorry for your loss.

These walks always break my heart, but when they are of babies, kids, and young people; it rips my heart to scattered pieces. Rest in Heaven Zane. This is so painful.

I just viewed Zane’s Honor Walk.. Please know that his gift of life has forever changed the lives of so many people. My brother in law received 2 organs from a donor 20 years ago. It gave him another chance at living and we are forever blessed with the sacrifice, never forgetting the donor or their family, and Zane is another hero. As you grieve, especially with the coming of the holidays, know that every moment there are prayers being said for you all. I hope you always know that Zane’s legacy is eternal and the you can again feel joy in living and loving yourself and your family and friends and know that Zane is united in our Heavenly Father and that His desire is for your peace and happiness and making each moment precious. If I was a nurse or doctor doing an honor walk….they keep from crying much better than I ever could. I’d be in instant tears during the walk

Losing a child is so hard. My daughter was killer instantly in a car crash she could not help others in donating. That is a priceless gift to give. Bless Zane’s family! May you find comfort in knowing that he lives on through others! Fly high young man, your job is done.

I have so much love and admiration for those who choose to donate their loved one's organs. It was this generosity, at a terrible time, which gave a dear friend a kidney when both of his had failed. He doesn't smoke or drink out of respect for the wonderful family who made such a generous decision.
As soon I turned 18 I registered as a donar. I wish more people would 🙏

I have never understood why someone wouldn't donate organs. We don't need them as we pass away and we can make other people's lives so much better and give them longer lives. Thank you to everyone who donates organs. What a wonderful, selfless gift.

That raw grief….it’s heartbreaking. I’m a mortician and I deal with grieving families all the time. This is different though. It’s letting them go knowing this is it. Ughhh lord…I can’t imagine. As a mother of three beautiful and amazing daughters I could never imagine the pain of losing one of them. This young man had to leave his family way too soon. The love shown by all for this young man and his family is overwhelming beautiful. May his love never leave their hearts.

This was very sad to watch. You are all hero's for donating Zane's organs so that others can live. He was a very generous young man and it is obvious that he was loved by many. But he is not truly gone as he lives on in others. RIP Zane.

6/30/21 in Jacksonville Florida I received the gift of double lungs. I’m so grateful for a second chance of life.
My brother died waiting for a kidney transplant , so thank you for your gift.

❤️...I have had 2 corneal transplants done ... 1991 and 1994 . Back then, we were not allowed to know anything about the donor. But daily from then, I have prayed every morning for their beautiful souls and for the well being of their families. I got the gift of sight and was able to fulfil my dream of becoming a doctor. To the families of all organ donors.... please know that your loved one continues to live through someone else. 🌹🙏
When my dad died.. he had a massive heart attack.. the drs didn't know how much his organs were affected due to lack of oxygen.. the one thing they were able to take tho were his eyes

Please be an organ donor. Tell your family, your friends and put it on your drivers license. Too many people are dying while ion waiting lists. I chose to be an organ donor when I was Zane’s age.
