Now that is the perfect trailer. I hate my trailer and now I hate it even more. My neighbor wants it, so perhaps this spring I’ll be paying your buddy a visit. Thanks for sharing Sam👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Congrats on the new LPX Sam. Saw some of the DC content about it on IG and look forward to you doing more videos with it being put to work! That intro was awesome, nice of DC to capture that build footage for you to use. One of the coolest bumper pull trailers I have ever seen.
Hi Sam. I bought a FMAX307 just over a year ago, what sold me was seeing the Diamond C on one of your videos and i like how it was made. I pull mine behind a 2011 F250 and i hardly ever feel it . I love the trailer but my only pet peeve is with there paint.. it was poorly painted. All the best with your new trailer..
Sam, that is the exact trailer minus the 20k rating that I’m looking at to replace my 2007 Kaufman 10k landscape trailer. I’m excited to see how this works for you.
I love my pintle hitch 9 ton equipment trl. Cant go wrong with it. Its 20ft flat plus 4ft dove deckover. Those spring assist ramps do sound real nice though. My ramps layover and i would like to make them where they stand up but also i keep putting it off. I need a center ramp on mine for the narrow front tractor. I could have a lighter rated trl as long as the trl empty wieght was lighter to have the same payload
I love the trailer you have! I’m trying to figure out the best trailer for my needs, looking to haul tractor, pallets of coal, cars and trucks and ideas?
Damn Sam, must just be rolling in it. I know, if you don't buy stuff, Newsom will just take it and give it to all the dead-beets out there. lol P.S. Buying a Polaris is like buying a Appalachian trailer, it just don't add up. You need the new Yamaha R-Max 1000 probably, unless you feel cocky, then get the YXZ 1000. I got mine wicked up to 370 HP at the tire, danger, danger!!!
2:09 Ball coupler doesn't seem to be fully tight to the trailer. You may want to check that out. Can see light between the trailer frame and the coupler. Anyways, killer intro. Just awesome.
Good work, Sam. What's the deal with that much bumper weight? My trailer is half that size and I won't gross over 5K without putting my weight distributing on. I can't imagine 1500 on the tongue without some kind of distribution. I guess a 3500 is long and heavy enough for that not to matter?
Factory floor should move with the trailer. - I bet they do a bunch of walking. Feel bad for the guy trying to mount that tire, could really use a dolly to lift it up into place, 80 lb tires day in day out take a beating on the body that and the trailer keeps moving LOL Wiring dude is literally crawling to keep up. What camera setups do you use? Loved the first part - commercial. hydro jack... I'm sold on that now. Full width trailer, driver over fenders, Nice Does Diamond C treat the deck? 10K axles One complaint the Ramp hold up arms, I'm always waiting to see then spear something.
It was not the only cleaning they do but i didn’t want to make a super long video with all the steps in prep for the trailers. Go to diamond c page and watch the full prep and paint
Just curious why you didn’t go for a tilt deck if you didn’t want to mess with ramps ? I like their front stationary tilt decks personally, but may be a little difficult to load a lwb.
QU #1 I am needing to load a ASV 135 with cutter head weighing in at 15,500 lbs. I heard you mention you were going to pull your 16,000 lb skid steer using this 210 application. Do you feel this is enough trailer to do the job since the GVWR of the trailer is 20k minus the weight of the trailer would give you less than 16k in trailer payload?
Lookin to buy a dump trailer and they look like a great option. If I contact them should I let them know I heard about them from you? Also you have got Dimond Cs flat beds do you recommend their dump trailers?
Yeah they have awesome dump trailers. My next purchase will be their dump trails. And I would appreciate it if you let them know you saw my videos Thanks
Buy two sets of extra springs for the ramps and keep them in the shop so you have them ,don’t worry you’re going to use them they get weird when it’s zero out
Congrats becoming a dad soon. How do you like the trailer for pulling your Takahashi? We have a f750 with a 40k trailer pulling a Cat 299 mulched. We are about to purchase a 5500 and a trailer to tow our rig. Would love a list of specs. I have 2 Diamond C dealers in my area.
Love this trailer. Tows the Takeuchi no problem. All info on this trailer should be in this video if not diamond c has a video on their channel talking about its specs
Trailer envy there. The only thing I was wondering if the bottom of the ramps (stays don’t know what else to call them) needed to be a bit longer so they were almost on the ground not a 4 inch gap when the skid steer was been loaded there was a lot of movement on the back of the trailer hence putting unnecessary strain on the coupling / ball
It’s all the little things that expend the energy you have for the day. No sense of killing yourself. Sam just obviously has gotten to the point where he is already going to be working long enough and hard enough. Need to be making money for your energy.
Some of your trucks sound like they are running hot...how do you get by all the CA regs running without canisters? I turned down job opps in CA because of concern about my off-roading enhancements.
Look up what the smog requirements are for ca. Answer is in first or second paragraph. And if you’re reg out of state no one cares bring your truck over
My Dad has a Kaufman low pro skid steer trailer similar to that just not as nice. We had to haul my nephew a Ford to use at college when his GMC left him on the side of the interstate.
Yeah I have a 16ft tilt trailer. It’s nice but can’t fit trucks on it. And dc option for the trailer was 16ft tilt. And stationery front. Wouldn’t work for hauling trucks. I need option for the longer ramps and it would have been fine
The only reason a deckover tilt wasn't your choice is gotta be cause this is a sponsored video. Ive loaded many times with a car hauler type, sketchy steep angle deckover w ramps, 2" to spare between fenders etc. The best hands down was deck gravity tilt w d rings on the deck. Safe and quick on and off and quick load securement. Not to mention if i had to i could load a small dozer, excavator,or palleted goods. This just seems like while its a nice trailer its not the perfect option someone would pick if they got to choose exactly what they wanted for your specific needs.
This trailer is 100% exactly what I ordered. Custom built just the way I wanted it. I have several deck over goosenecks. Drive over fenders gives me a lower deck height and a lower center of gravity. This trailer is a piece of cake to load on to not to steep of ramps And I can still haul pallets. Small dozers or excavators. Shoot I’ve hauled a wheel loader and and excavator at the same time on this trailer.
So I'm watching this video four months after it was posted... and this trailer is still not on Diamond C's website. This is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for! MAXX D is the only other manufacturer that has this style of trailer but I haven't seen any reviews on them, whereas I see a ton of top rated reviews on DC. You say this trailer requires a cdl... why is that? Thanks for your time. Great video! Be safe out there!
The reason you need a CDL to use this trailer is because it's gross weight rating is at 20k pounds. When you pull this trailer with your truck most likely a 3500 dually or similar your truck will weigh around 8k pounds or more. When you combine the two vehicles together for maximum gross weight towing it will put you in the low 30k pound mark. You must have a CDL to drive vehicles that weigh in more than 26,001. Basically it comes down to weight and federal law. Now you can still use this trailer if you don't have a CDL, but you must keep the gross vehicle weight at or below 26,000 pounds. That's the weight of the truck, trailer, and load all totalled together.
@@matthewmcnulty698 like having multiple tractors. Each one has its own use and job. Dump trailer car trailer gooseneck heavy hauler. All have uses and needs
They should have put double hinge ramps on that with that high of a weight capacity. I can foresee loading it heavy and not being able to lift the ramps without pulling forward and forcing them to pivot. Great trailer otherwise. Congratulations
whats the point of haveing this kind of 10 - 12 - 8 inch beam frame. Isn't a frame only as strong as its weakest part anyway. so why not make it all 8 inch for the low loading height?
A normal frame would be just that. An 8 inch or what ever all the way across. Have a frame that has a bigger spread is now stronger. And it doesn’t make the deck higher. Look at a semi trailer
A frame is weakest in the middle where there is the most leverage on it, picture a truss, it is tallest in the middle and with the engineered beam they can make the middle super strong and the ends lighter.
Right trailor for the job. Congrats sam and crew.best of luck👍🇺🇸
Awesome trailer Sam!! I am happy for you and cant wait to see what fun projects get hauled on that bad boy.
Now that is the perfect trailer. I hate my trailer and now I hate it even more. My neighbor wants it, so perhaps this spring I’ll be paying your buddy a visit. Thanks for sharing Sam👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
In my opinion and for my application, the best trailer I've ever seen up to this point! I'm glad you put this on here thank you sir!

Badass!!! Makes a guy want to order up some trailers!
Great trip & great video🔥
Love the new trailer and the speed binders are a must 👌
Just an awesome trailer bud. Can't wait to get a couple diamond cs my self 😎

It's a beautiful trailer

How does the bumper pull ride compared to the gooseneck? I had a bumper pull 22' from big tex and it rode so rough. Swapped it out for a gooseneck.
Rides solid no complaints
i'm getting a similar trailer with the wide floor and drive over fenders, just less heavy duty and with a tilt deck

Nah, I get tired of having to pull up because the ramps are stuck in the ground everytime I load aomething.
New trailer now all you need is a decent truck to pull it with. 👍
Lol
Wondering why you didn't go with a 22'x 102" full table top tilt? I like the trailer except the fenders sticking up.
Lower center of gravity, easy to step on to. Already have a deck over.
Loading a full top deck tilt can be less than enjoyable depending on the situation as well.
