I bought back in 2020. A 20 foot hdt 14900 .it has a12000 lb tongue jack. I took off the hand crank and bought a speed binder speed handle and use a Dewalt drill with a 9/ 16 socket . The next best thing to hydraulic jack. No other trailer in its class is laid out better. I use it to haul my 6000 lb tractor and haul lumber. My spare tire is in the tongue 👅 box with all of the chains and binders . Bought mine at David's tractor.
Nice set up Sam! I have a 26 foot lpx210 gooseneck on order with the deck on the neck ,loading lights and max ramps. I think it will only be about 8 weeks out. Enjoying your content.
I haven't much about Diamond C trailers. Incredible engineering and building. I looked them up thinking they were built closer to the west coast and come to find out they are about two hours from where I live in Louisiana!! May looking into getting one if my plans go like I am hoping!! Take care and be safe!!
When you first start a business you buy what you can afford. For a young man you show us you tubers that a good work ethic and hard work can do for you. Awesome and keep up the good work ethic. Denis from Santa Rosa CA.
Dang man that’s a sweet trailer. Definitely looking to get a fmax 212 and the HDT dump in the future. You need to hang some of those truck Nuts on the back of the hydraulic tail for that unit 😂jk. Keep going man, you are definitely inspiring and keep myself motivated. Thanks again
I added a truck spare tire winch under my hotshot trailer. So much easier to handle and the bonus is that my rearview dashcam mirror looks back from my headache rack and the spare doesn't block my view over the top of my trailer neck. When I'm empty or hauling loads that are not tall, I can see vehicles behind me.
It's not just the 30's that bounce I have a 35 with the hydraulic dove and the tongue bounces on it also. Drives me absolutely crazy and also definitely a little bit of a learning curve on load placement with the heavy hydraulic dove that far behind the axles. And man your right on about never going back to manual jacks once you have the hydraulics. Hands down best trailer on the market
Had a PJ hyd dove for years. Upgraded to a Diamond C 32’ and wow the difference. Axles are back a bit more and the frame flexes a little. Made a lot of difference in the ride.
You sold me on the Diamond C trailers, just ordered a LPX207 today, almost identical to your little buddy minus the hydro jack and lighter duty. Should see it early to mid may👍 can't wait to get my little hotshot side business going

The snow that you had reminded me. Left my shop this morning after pulling an all-nigher. Popped the drivers door open on the 2000 Suburban and drove home. When I got home the friggin' thing wouldn't let me out, the lock was frozen in the latch. The Wife has to take the kids to school so had to cold sart the '98 24V 53 block up for her, it was 19 degrees. Fired right up and unlike the Chebbie the doors opened right up and KEPT working! Later in the day it thawed out and the Battleburb was fully accessible again. Cleaned and lubed the latches/locks anyway. Let that be a lesson to us all: MOPAR OR NO CAR!
Park them next to each other and make Callahan a fort. Love to see you grow. It was your trailers and towing that brought me to channel before 1st Diamond C. ❤👍

Beautiful new trailer! If you super glue like three neodymium magnets to the remote back it could be removable so you could use the remote outside the tongue
Keep making your videos love I'm always watch him and smashing the like button those are some very nice trailers I'm glad don't let no one dreams will only come true if you want them too

Nice trailer. Your exactly correct- you get what you pay for. I’m in the process of finally upgrading trailers , tired of being a part time mechanic with mine as well.
Smart kid, Callahan put the round peg in the round hole! It was obvious to him that they HAD to go together. You could see him up by the binders going "this should probably go right here." Cute as heck!
Nice trailer, now you can load at night and haul the next day with a quick turnaround using two 5500s and two Diamonds. In a couple years Callahan can drive one of the trucks to the jobsite. I am surprised you don't use the hydraulic dovetail to tip the machine near the balance point. My little sixteen inch trailer tires in all steel construction weigh 105 pounds mounted. So those hoss shoes got to be a lot more. Next step, Locomotive converted to rubber tires. LOL
12 % tax is cheaper there i guess We pay 18% sales tax here on everything in Canada You even pay the value on the vehicle it on for used or new RVs trailers cars and trucks when you get your registration or pink slip for the thing
Nice addition to the fleet. Guessing to have 5 trailers, registration fees in Cali for trailers must be reasonable priced. In IL a 40k trailer would cost 1600/year for a tag. Don't want to many trailers sitting around but would sure love 1 real nice one. Hope it serves you well.
The 2.0 is badass. Did you at all consider a short sdx step deck? I’m leaning towards that myself but have never seen one personally…surprised they aren’t more popular
I would be worried about the vision rearward with those. On a semi you sit so much higher with a step deck. So curious myself but the vision part worries me.

Hey Sam, what happened to the shocker hitch that you use to have. I was thinking of getting one and wanted to check and see why you aren’t using it anymore? Thanks for the videos.

How did you extend your KTI 4 button remote?? The included 15’ cord doesn’t reach the neck (just tried to do mine today). Did you find an extension for the 6 cable or did you slice / extend yourself?
What would happen of you welded a 4 inch pipe to the end of the trailer. Or put some really thick rubber on the tail of the trailer to protect the end of the tail. No more logs
That's one badass trailer. There's something about big hubs and 17.5 alcoas that's just toooo sexy. And a deck on the neck above all, it's just too much to handle 🤣
That 'overhang' in the back behind the axles probably has some give to it that causes the trailer to buck on the front of the truck at the pin. I'm wondering if a hydraulic full tilt trailer might be better for stability, especially if they can put the axles further back. There is a heck of of a tail swing with this trailer because of where the axles are located.
Maybe but the tail is pretty solid when locked in the up position. Only 10 feet behind the axles. Not a big deal. Problem with a full tilt you have double the frame so it’s heavier. Less payload. And your axle placement won’t be much different in order to get the 30ft worth of useable deck. This set up is ideal for what I do. 30’feet deck and axles aren’t at the complete back so it is easier to maneuver.
@@VBELTandSON I just saw old an episode you did on the hire sticker. Sorry, we don't have them in Australia. Sounds complex or open to abuse and controversial topic.

Either way you’re still a combination over 26k and need a class a cdl. Your length is probably similar to a short semi and trailer. Is it getting you around some cost or California rules crap?
Semi costs sooo much more to keep legal each year. And I don’t need a semi daily. I use my pick up daily. Can haul the family around with it. Really awesome how well a 5500 handles good weight and still has a good daily ride in the newer trucks.
