Livestock mats are a great idea they are so thick and heavy should add some great protection. What did you all cut them with I have a couple for a different project and would love to know? I'm thinking circular saw but what kind of blade?

You can make your life a little easier if you find the right size plastic tote that each chain fits in , the added totes if u get the right ones won't take up much more space, and it will keep them separate and wont tangle with each other .... and the totes stacked in the box just looks super neat and organized ... tractor supply and i think home depot has the thick black plasic totes with yellow lids that might make them small enough , super strong totes and you really don't need the lids.

You will find out that piling those chains n a pile and screwing up your tool box floors especially in the winter gets old in a hurry. Also, you need to get a set off 10 foot ramps for when you need to load the complete rear deck when ramps we folded up and you don't have a dock to drive last piece on. I have two mac's set up just like yours and finally got my extra ramp. We love your channel

I would see about a chain rack like on the headache rack but for in the box, which holds the hooks and then has little boxes beneath like 6 inches tall to hold the chain itself. It's either gonna be expensive or take a lot of time, but it would be worth it for the ease of use and time saved.

Nice trailer! Inside of your toolboxes get some. Conveyer belting and cut it to the measurements of the bottom of the toolboxes and put it down in the bottom of the toolboxes and it'll save a lot of wear and tear from throwing your chains and binders inside of the toolboxes. And if you put a chain bar from one end to the other to hang your chains and binders on with save you time from untangling them if you don't have a chain bar. The trailer is set up nice!

Bruce, have a piece of aluminum welded in on the inside of the boxes to keep the chains and straps in the box when you open the doors! Make it about a inch or two above the door lip on the bottom! It will save you picking up every time you open the doors! Legally, you still need a headache rack on the tractor or the front of the trailer, per DOT rules! You will get really tired of digging chains out of those boxes, after they get tangled up from bouncing down the road! Nice Trailer!
