I recommend you put horse barn mats in the chain boxes to prevent the dents as much as possible. Worked great in my boxes
Livestock mats are a great idea they are so thick and heavy should add some great protection. What did you all cut them with I have a couple for a different project and would love to know? I'm thinking circular saw but what kind of blade?
@@goleafsgo8496 I used a jig saw because I had really tight corners.
Been low-bedding heavy equipment for over 33 years and ratchet binders are the best and safest and keep everything tighter!!! 💯😎🇨🇦
Those are THE BEST trailers in North America! i know of Lode KIng that are over 20 years old and still running right!! That is a rock solid investment!!
You can make your life a little easier if you find the right size plastic tote that each chain fits in , the added totes if u get the right ones won't take up much more space, and it will keep them separate and wont tangle with each other .... and the totes stacked in the box just looks super neat and organized ... tractor supply and i think home depot has the thick black plasic totes with yellow lids that might make them small enough , super strong totes and you really don't need the lids.
I would run a stainless headache rack, you'll hate dragging the chains in and out of the boxes
I was thinking the same thing. Having all the chains hanging neatly will be so much easier to manage.
I prefer a cabinet. Little more pricey but worth it. It best to keep your stuff out of the elements when not in use and safe from thieves.
You will find out that piling those chains n a pile and screwing up your tool box floors especially in the winter gets old in a hurry. Also, you need to get a set off 10 foot ramps for when you need to load the complete rear deck when ramps we folded up and you don't have a dock to drive last piece on. I have two mac's set up just like yours and finally got my extra ramp. We love your channel
No headache rack is fine until you haul a load of Pipe and get in a front end collision and get a pipe through the cab!
Nice trailer Bruce. Glad to have you back on youtube.
This Canuck is loving the Lode King trailer😁. Shout out to Winkler, Manitoba Canada
I live in Winkler as well!
Hello from Winnipeg Manitoba
Nice trailer, but i can guarantee those floor mounted pull out chains will never be quite were you want them,. plus some stop blocks on the front edge of the neck would be good to stop you overshooting the neck when loading tractors,. i suppose a winch would be handy to,.
Nah you still don’t need a headache rack. Trust me it’ll look silly with the window on the back. Get you some saddle boxes to put on the sides behind the sleeper if you need some more storage.
Bruce is the champeene of obtaining items for little or no cost, seemingly based on his charm and reputation, not to mention his CZcams popularity and audience size
I will never use a snap binder anymore. Helping a buddy load down a skiddy about 3 years ago and everything was set went and checked tires and one of the binders popped lose and killed him.
Best think for your toolbox is to get u some milk creats and put the chains in the the box and hook it to the lip of the creat
If you want a box liner that will hold up past the first rain unlike that cardboard I always line my boxes and headache rack with sections of conveyor belts or inner tubes from ag equipment I cut to size.. They last forever!
Coming from Can Harmansah channel. Great content.
A milk crate works good for holding chains in your box’s
Nice trailer, Bruce. Congratulations!! Looks like you have all the right equipment to haul just about anything you need. Thanks for sharing!!
I would see about a chain rack like on the headache rack but for in the box, which holds the hooks and then has little boxes beneath like 6 inches tall to hold the chain itself. It's either gonna be expensive or take a lot of time, but it would be worth it for the ease of use and time saved.
Nice Step Deck. Love your set up but you may need that headache rack box
Nice trailer! Should have the inside of the toolboxes sprayed with LineX or some other Berliner type material- will help keep things from getting coated in aluminum dust/shavings from shifting around.
After traveling down the interstate the chains will be a cluster f***...I can see a headache rack in your future..good luck
That's a super nice trailer. You should also check out the spring snap binders, I love using them because they are less likely to kill you.
Reitnouer is better, but I guess the money were tight.
Whats the matter, cant afford a replacement center cap for the rear axle on the Pete? Been missing for a while now.
Tim's junkyard you said it, I didn't.
Nice trailer! Inside of your toolboxes get some. Conveyer belting and cut it to the measurements of the bottom of the toolboxes and put it down in the bottom of the toolboxes and it'll save a lot of wear and tear from throwing your chains and binders inside of the toolboxes. And if you put a chain bar from one end to the other to hang your chains and binders on with save you time from untangling them if you don't have a chain bar. The trailer is set up nice!
I love that you to are such great friends and make videos together sometimes wish I had a friend that was a diesel mechanic because I don’t no jack about my diesel truck
Fantastic trailer Bruce, it is nice to have you back on your channel.
These things you got from these guys are up the road from me. Said I've never heard of them.
They make great trailers in Canada. I should know since I work as a service tech for the manufacturer that built your trailer. Added more lights to it is easy since its all plug and play harnesses. Take care of it and it'll last you for years.
Yeah I must be doing something wrong brand new truck and trailer good for you and not working 16 hrs days trying to make payments this guy has it figured out
I say this guy's drowning in debt!
Thanks Brian for not allowing a headache rack on it!
Trailer looks bloody practical 👌🏻
Lode king makes good hybrid step decks. I paid 6gs extra for disc brakes . Mine is a beaver tail with removable 20000lbs ramps, cause i use the full length of the trailer 90% of the time. You will run into a scenario where you can't fold them back into place.
Yup it is the same trailer I own . I love mine they’re great trailers . I’ve had mine since 2018
Super nice step deck Bruce should be perfect for your needs as for headache rack they make some really nice ones big three door chain box style I’m still on this planet because of a headache rack I was asleep in the bunk when I was a kid step dad driving blew a drive tire tread flew back took out the air lines instantly locked the brakes up had a 20 ton I-beam for a massive overhead crane slide up destroy the headache rack but it never hit the truck and I’m alive so better safe than pretty!!!
Gd boys ol Bruce been spending the hell outta that pockets book spend that bread
Your doing great things Bruce! Nice trailer can't wait to see it all loaded up! Yeah get Aaron in the driver's seat! Thanks for sharing the videos keep them coming!
Nice setup man. I would cut pieces of 3/4” plywood to fit in the bottom of those toolboxes to protect them.
Hi Bruce ,nice trailer the hidden ramps for the top deck or as we call it the goose deck are a great idea .The spread on the boggie is really different we would have another axle between them allowing us 22 ton gross on the axle set .Look forward to many entertaining video,s I've been watching Tim Gentry you got some serious competition there mate he is a funny guy full of big ideas ,I think what I enjoy about watching you guys get the job done is it's Trucking as it was when I started 45years ago minus all today's bullshit Love it keep the entertainment coming
Cheers Kym
Adelaide Sth Australia
Bruce get ya some milk crates to put your binders and chains in to help ya out some
Very nice trailer Bruce and now it's set with what ever you need to tie down equipment stay safe.
SWEET trailer. 💪😉👍 To bad those things weren't around back in earlier days for weight reasons!!!
Damn gov just gotta keep putting more on more regulations on Truckers but when they run their stuff or want something it's no big deal. They just keep making it HARDER N HARDER on the industry. NOT FAIR to MANY.
Congrats Bruce on buying that awesome looking TRAILER. u can make money hauling stuff with the trailer.
Cool video, here in the UK snap binders are actually illegal and we find that the rachet binders are not really that slow.
Anyone notice the guy going by doing a wheelie on the bike when he was backing up to the trailer lol
Bruce, have a piece of aluminum welded in on the inside of the boxes to keep the chains and straps in the box when you open the doors! Make it about a inch or two above the door lip on the bottom! It will save you picking up every time you open the doors! Legally, you still need a headache rack on the tractor or the front of the trailer, per DOT rules! You will get really tired of digging chains out of those boxes, after they get tangled up from bouncing down the road! Nice Trailer!
There are Zero laws/ rules on headache racks
@@Bruce_Wilson thats right there is no law about it but you can get some pritty nice stainless ones that make life way easier. I've been heavy hauling and hauling equipment for 32 years and wouldn't do it without one, I also only use ratchet boomers now instead of snap ones they get tighter and are safer.save your boxes for tarps, straps, blocks etc.
Its awesome for those guys to deliver all the great stuff to up fit your new trailer. Hey Bruce, I would put rubber mats or thick plywood on the bottom of your boxes.
did you check the weight rating on those boxes doubt they can handle that much in them for very long
@@realredditstories420 I’m well aware what they are made for and as I said they still have a weight rating I have seen those boxes bend over time
Arin getting CDL will help major on long trips cause then you get MORE DRIVE TIME as a TEAM💪😉👍
Now that is a trailer
Don't let them stop you from getting a headache rack
Don't like the stationary winches on the front. I would think they make the trailer wider than 102 ?
Hey Bruce Wilson that is a really nice trailer that you have their I can't wait too see you start fixing up Blue Collar and I hope that Aaron gets his CDL so that he can drive Blue Collar 2.0 when you need too sleep Bruce.
Widow makers them binders
This is the last time that strap collection is that tidy !!!!!!
Don't forget to check the trailer break settings if it's new or refurbished they could be tight or loose.. 😆
Hope those chains are bundled up not just thrown in there making a mess… worst is grabbing a chain an going to pull it out to find someone just threw 12 metres in the box an dragging it like a muppet 😂… love the trailer we don’t get things like that in aus so it’s cool to see different setups
Yeah Id trust these guys to train me.. I-70 coming up!
Get yourself a couple cheap carabiners for the boxes cause those latches will flip up and the toolbox door will open….. ask me how I know lol
Sweet skateboard just curious as to why you don't have a headache rack? It probably would be easier to store and have your chains/straps readily available and in a neat place so everything doesn't fall out when you go to get the chains out
Cannot believe that Snap Binders are still allowed in the US. Ratchet-type are mandated or preferred in Europe, the Snaps being considered dangerous for the operator and not as fail-safe in general
Real Nice trailer.
Truly a worthy mate to that pretty rig of yours, very cool and hey its just money! Holy crap those big boxes became pretty small quickly. I get the astetic issue of a headache rack BUT doing what you do I think its needed?
Sweet trailer. I'd put half the chains, binders, straps on one side, and half on the other. It's a pain to have to walk all the way around the trailer every time you need a chain/binder/strap.
They need to open the site in IOWA NOT ILLINOIS. Great place would be on I80 by Iowa City or preferably Des Moines. Beings a Peterbuilt repair shop by I80 n 330 already. Food for thought.👍
Snap binders a.k.a Widow Makers.... lol
Love those boxes. I got almost the same amount of gear from the person I bought the trailer from it was used but still works need to get out and run my truck hope to meet you one day
Nice set up! Need to get the inside of those boxes bedlined.
Awesome! Cant wait to see the new trailer and Aaron in cdl school .. a truckin family.. keep up great content! How about some dashcam highway time lapse deliveries ..
Gonna have a “watch your step” on that dang truck 😂 say damn Tim I want Workmen’s Comp. 🤣😂
Nice setup. My trailer has the toolboxes under the trailer and I hate how the chains always get entangled, so I'm seriously thinking about getting a headache rack for chains and binders. So, what's the hangup with a headache rack; what doesn't Brian like about them?
You can always make a inner frame to put in the box so you can hang the hooks on a rail that way you always know where the ends are, I had a buddy weld flat stock on the inside of my frame rail of the Lowbed I run and it keeps everything in order so I always grab one chain at a time
It’s an inside joke
nice looking trailer, hope it does the job u got it for, keep the clips coming
Two brothers+two trucks+cdl holders= a great pay day on Friday.
Arin getting a CDL would be huge, he looks like one hell of a good driver
Flatbed is the only strong segment of freight that is still going strong 💪
For the type of work you do I would’ve got a hydraulic tail trailer so you aren’t fighting with Ramps all the time and you can still back up to a dock , use one for a man lift rental company and it makes the job sooo much easier
Those chains are about to be a tangled mess lol .
I wonder how much load you can take on a 2 axel trailer ? Here in The Netherlands we can load till arround 32.000 kilo on a 3 axel trailer.
Congratulation Bruce new truck new trailer and you can haul just about anyting you want to now bro enjoy the video can't wait for the next one
I always used the snap binders
I love the new trailer keep the good work up you're doing amazing. You should paint the frame of the trailer the same color as the truck. That will look cool and light it up.
Congratulations Bro!
Just flat out WOW!!! LOOKING GOOD!!! LOVE IT GOOD LUCK TO YOUR BROTHER GETTING HIS C D L.
Tim does good his stuff
Sweet trailer Bruce wish u the best of luck with it brother 👍 safe trucking!!!!
very nice flatbed!!
Nice trailer!
Good. To see you again buddy take care buddy
You guys should put under glow on the truck and trailer
4 weeks for a cdl now? Sheeeessshh!!!
An aluminum headache rack would look sweet with that new truck trailer! Why don’t you want one?
Will love to see those chains stay untangled in that Box but don't think that's going to happen one big Knot when you go to use them :( . I love to be wrong Bruce and great looking Trailer how do they stop the steel and Aluminium from corroding ?????. Ps: where those cam locks fit to the storage boxes top and bottom clips hope there welded to the box and not a bolt just saying as i could not tell if it was a bolt or a rivet but if it is either of those get them welded before your chains and stuff are stolen. great Vlog
Ya the trailer is sweet and the torch is sexy....just wish that the stacks where functional
You just doxed gentry and sons in the first few seconds
Gotta put a headache rack on truck or either trailer one you are gonna be constantly fighting the chains and straps tangled up
Congratulations Bruce, That’s an awesome trailer!
Get old milk crates for chains or put pickup style low profile toolbox behind cab
Open that tarp!! I wanna see the texture
