    Thanks for this. One thing that I didn't know was the use of the arrow keys to move the 'position' the camera to get the desired view and then creating the Custom Camera view.

      I don't think I mentioned that in this video - good you mentioned it here!

    What I really want is to setup 10 or so custom views and move around them using just a 4 (or 5 ) way hat.
    Imagine having custom views layed out like a numpad.
    Using just a d-pad or hat you could move easily with minimal inputs by assigning them a grid or "relative map"
    7 - 8 - 9
    | | |
    4 - 5 - 6
    | | |
    1 - 2 - 3
    To get from view 3 to view 9 you could just tap "up" twice on the hat / d-pad.
    Now that you don't have to worry about running out of buttons you can setup more complex mappings and again just use a dpad / hat to get around.
    For example you could even combine interior and exterior views on the same hat with a grid like this.
    [ 01 ]
    [ 02 ]-[ 03 ]-[ 04 ]
    [ 05 ]-[ 06 ]-[ 07 ]-[ 08 ]-[ 09 ]-[ 10 ]-{11}
    [ 11 ]-[ 12 ]-[ 13 ]

    Your "work around" for the cycling is probably automating the manual clicks you have to do with single press. Software like AutoHotKey maybe able to do such things.

    I know this video is for the views, so apologies - but have you ever been able to assign the fuel pumps/selectors to a button on the flight controllers? I've never got it working, not sure if it's a msfs bug or I and doing something wrong!
    Another great video btw, I always steer people towards your tutorials when they ask questions on the Facebook group :)

    Is there a way to toggle different instruments views in the cockpit so every click to switch a view?
    I’m limited in buttons on my Thrustmaster on buttons so I can assign one button to one view and so on.
    Thanks in advance

    • @Huddison
      @Huddison  Před rokem

      Yes you can do that with custom camera views (search through my catalogue ).

    Thanks H. On the default keyboard controls CTRL 1, 2 etc for instrument views 1,2 etc, they do not toggle (as they seem to in your video) for me but spring back to the cockpit view whenever I release the keys. An y ideas why that is not happening ? On PC. Clearly those keys are taking me in and out of instrument view. I am in the Caravan, - setting up for Sunday.

      Check your General Options/Camera settings & change the relevant settings to 'Toggle' instead of 'Hold'.

    I fly fighters with a rear seat pilot that have a working cockpit but I cannot get there. Any help would be great.

      I actually found an easy way to view the rear seat pilot; just go into cameras and find the "View copilot" setting.
