Ana Sofía I’m doing GREAT! I just moved out and once he saw that I took the phone I paid for he came to me crying saying that he’s sorry and wanted me to give it back. But I said no and he started crying for me back once he noticed he didn’t have anything without me. I’ve never been more happy then I am now. I laugh more, and I feel more confident!!! ❤️ I have my own place with an amazing roommate! And I’m happy to be out of there.

He ghosted next after 3 years. We lived together and he left me for a woman he had just barely met. They moved in together and immediately she began stealing from him! 😂😂😂......he left for a couple of nights later he went back to find she had completely trashed his new place. Karma!!! Loved it! In the meantime I had lost 20 lbs and fit into sexy little dresses that I had worn since I was 19! It worked in my favour. 😁

I would say I looked better and I was more confident after my ex ghosted me. I had a lot of nice guys with a good career lining up to date me. I chose one whom I got along the most. Two months later, my ex emailed me like nothing happened and tried to get back to the relationship. I honestly told him that, “sorry, boy. I am taken.” I married to my new boyfriend and we live happily ever after.

the rise of the phenomenon of "ghosting" really tells a lot about the maturity of this generation. our parents generation really didnt do a great job of teaching us how to be emotionally mature and communicate our feelings, huh? so young people go and ghost their partner when they lose feelings & dont know how handle breaking it off, so they disappear, run away. people are way less respectful of others now, social etiquette has gone out the window. everyone just does what they want, and they dont care who they hurt.
The ghosting phenomenon has less to do with age and how you were raised. But rather more to do with who you are as a person when you think no one is watching. Because social media is still relatively new, and more importantly it really doesn't hold people accountable for their actions. People who fail to keep themselves accountable and don't have a strong moral compass will always choose the easy option. It's also occurring more due to the fact that it's easier to find new people on dating apps. It means if you find things a bit too hard, you can always delete and start again. It's also interesting to note that a higher percentage of people doing this are male. Due to the fact they are less likely made accountable for their actions in general.
Men did this in the past too we just didn't have social media back then. A lot of dads ghosted on their own kids.

this happened to me. i was dating my ex for over a year.. we were so in love and doing great together.. it was a week before my birthday. he completely went radio silent and it literally broke me as a person. i can still remember that heartache i felt. i was so confused, angry, scared.. i can honestly say it scarred me. to this day i still wonder why.. and it’s been almost 10 years.
My ex also broke up with me before my birthday, 2 weeks to be exact. It broke me. I let him back in my life as a friend and he did it again. This time I quit. I blocked him and move on for good. Do you still feel hurt now? Or are you over it?

Oh my girl. This story time is bringing up bad memories. 🤯 My boyfriend of two years ghosted me so I completely understand your pain. When people leave with no explanation, you try to fill in the blanks on your own. It makes you knit pick all the things wrong with yourself and it makes you question all the tiny events leading up to the ghosting. I am my worst critic so my confidence really suffered. 😓 I felt like even being cheated on would’ve been better because at least I received an explanation. Ghosting is really cruel and cowardly. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

1.block their number or put them on DND so you won’t be obsessing over a text.
2. Take time to heal, be real with your emotions and let yourself be sad. Don’t rush your healing.
3. Don’t let him come back. He was completely aware of what he did to you. Don’t let no one treat you like you’re some type of weirdo.
4. Don’t let it make you feel Jaded towards men/women. Not everyone will do that to you.
5.Carry on with your life & enjoy the good things you have going on in life.

This happened to my best friend and it turns out the guy actually got kicked out of his house and was too embarrassed to tell my friend that he was homeless... there’s definitely more to the story, but trust me it never has anything to do with you! He has a lot of his own issues that convinced him to throw away such a good relationship
I’ve been ghosted and it’s one of the most hurtful things ever. I will never know what went wrong or if I did something or said something. I still have questions and would get so angry when I saw photos of him and his new girlfriend. I kept feeling like I wasn’t good enough but then I realized it wasn’t me, it was him and it turns out he is cheating on his new girlfriend so I dodged a bullet. I wish people could just be honest though and stop being cowards. It would hurt less to actually tell someone they didn’t have feelings anymore then disappear without answers.

There is nothing wrong with you. In this case the action (ghosting) says a lot about the person who ghosted you. He was an emotional immature person, coward and obviously selfish because when he did it, he wasn't thinking of you. Now that he's out of your life, you can open the door to let new people and vibes to come to visit you into your life. Remember, he himself decided to play dead. Let him stay there.

I have ghosted a few people but I definitely feel like they deserved it. That includes family and past friendships, they were extremely toxic. I dealt with their bs for way too long then I got tired of it and just completely cut off all ties with them with out an explanation because I had already expressed how I felt before and nothing changed. I feel like thats the only time ghosting someone is ok, you definitely did not deserve what happened to you but things happen for a reason and now you’re in a happy relationship. I was basically ghosted, we were together on and off for 5 years. He got another girl pregnant and left. I didn't find that out until she reached out to me because his friends were talking about me. Then he had the guts to message me after years and after I've been married.
When I was 21, I was in Vegas for my friend's birthday and met a guy from LA (I live 5 hours north of there). We talked for like 6 months every single day and I went down to visit him once. One day, he stopped talking or texting me. He didn't have social media so I had no idea of where he had gone. I didn't hear from him for a year and a half when he texted me out of the blue. It turns out that he had been in prison (it was like his second or third time incarcerated for drug offenses). LOL. Now I'm a social worker with a super nerdy and clean cut engineer boyfriend but I still laugh about the ex that ghosted me when I was 21 and a total mess haha.

I know a girl who thought she was ghosted. Hated him for over a year because he just stopped responding to her. She eventually found out he died. He and two of his friends were driving and crashed into a tree.... it was believed atleast the driver was driver. She never knew before because she never met his friends and family and his social media was private. She only found out because she later friended another person because he was in his profile picture. She clicked on the profile picture and it said "Still missing you in heaven (boyfriends name)" she messaged him asking him questions and mentioning that they dated and she was confused and he eventually told her what happened. His brother died in a freak accident, the same night she texted him last.

I was ghosted when I was 14 nearly 15 literally was talking to someone for 2 years and all of a sudden he just went like he just died, no social media nothing. This happened to me, we moved way to quickly and he even was living with me. Like things were to good to be true.
Anyways one day he told me he was gonna go and wash his clothes and go to the store and that he loved me and he’d be right back. I tried calling him and snap chatting him and hour later and noticed I was blocked on everything .

I had this guy that I really liked do this for me. We talked a lot (including some deep things) and had a connection (at least I thought we did). All of a sudden after hanging out with this guy, he completely ghosts me. Some people are just cowards and don't want to face anything that might be a little difficult.

She went on a trip to Spain (BCN) to celebrate her birthday/graduation. She met a guy from Denmark one week into her trip. He left for his home in Denmark the day after meeting and then they continued to talk everyday. The messages were flirty and loving. After months of talking, Denmark visited Toronto, Canada. They became official after this trip. After leaving, they continued to talk and discussed who would move for the other. Denmark said in the future he would make the move as she could not see herself doing that for him.
Shortly after this convo, he visited for a second time and maybe a third time afterwards (she can’t remember due to this relationship occurring years ago.)
When Denmark went home he had a stressful period with school etc. And he would take this stress out on her via their WhatsApp convos. A few ignored messages later, she noticed Denmark blocked her on all social media apps... including WhatsApp where they had kept their relationship alive for a year. Denmark also blocked all of her friends too. They haven’t spoken since then. He has never tried to reach out to her.
Conclusion: he’s a dick.

How you make other people feel is a reflection of how you feel about yourself. So someone who is capable is doing this isn’t doing so great on the inside. This happened to me too, and it felt good knowing I’d NEVER do that and then showing their true colors helped me move on quicker than I would have if it happened in the opposite way.

A few years ago I met this "amazing" guy from the other side of the world, we clicked immediately. We spent almost a month together travelling around Europe. After he went back home, we talked online, video chatted, sent each other voice notes every single day for 6 months before he invited me to stay with him for 4 weeks. Everything was perfect and i couldn't wait to see him again. He always told me things like "i wish i could wake up next to you, i miss you so much". We talked a bit less frequently but still on a regular basis and everything was fine. About 2 weeks before i was supposed to visit him, which was also the day after my birthday (he didn't remember it), he told me he's with someone else now but that we could spend time together as friends.
The fact you mentioned Denmark, my ex moved to Denmark and he did that shit to me. But the strange thing is, I had a dream that he cheated and when I confronted his arse he blocked me all the way but when I found out he did that, I blocked him back. Like someone said, heartbreak is God’s protection.

I think in situations like these, when a guy is aggressively into you from the getco and is saying and doing the most romantic and touching things, that it actually has nothing to do with you specifically. For them being in this relationship symbolizes something for them; perhaps a talking point to friends, no more loneliness, attention, power, only Satan knows. In actuality, he has projected a personality onto you and lows confirming behaviors. And in this scenario there was the added bonus of being long distance; which for him meant no real commitment, and no real vulnerability in his part. It is a lot easier to take a good personality when you don’t see a person interact with their friends and family and see them at school or work. It gives him the power to construct a narrative where he is this amazing person and boyfriend without actually having to commit to that. Because if you ignore everything he’s said to you and just examined his actions it would become clear that this relationship has always been on his terms, he had been dating his narcissism more than he has been dating you. I’m so sorry you went through that, men can really scramble your brains at times.

I met a boy on Omegle years ago when I was 16 and we became so close. He lived in the UK and I’m in NY and me being a dumb teen I fell in love and I truly thought we would meet one day and be together. We talked every day, video chatted for hours. About 6 months later he ghosted me, and it really hurt but I moved on. Then a few years ago when I was 23 he randomly reached out again. He explained to me how he handled the situation wrong in the past and stopped talking to me bc our relationship was becoming unhealthy and he apologized for everything. I told him to promise me not to ever do that to me again and he did. I had a bf at the time but we started talking again every day and (unrelated) me and the bf ended up breaking up. Once again we became close and I really thought we would meet one day especially now being adults, it was an actual possibility. But surprise, a year and a half later he ghosted me again. I saw on fb he’s in a relationship now. I should’ve learned from the first time bc this time really broke me. It sounds so stupid bc I never even met this guy but I truly thought we were friends and he would tell me all the time how he wants to meet me, how I’m not a stranger and that he actually considers me a good friend. I still get upset when I think or talk about the whole situation and I’m finding it a lot harder to move on this time.

I’m used to being ghosted. The last person I really liked started acting strange towards me and eventually stopped initiating contact with me entirely. We used to take turns initiating contact in fact. I had to be away for two in a half weeks for work purposes, ever since I came back, that’s when things started to go down hill from there. I literally didn’t hear much unless I texted first and I started to get tired of it. Prior to giving up on her, I invited her to come by and I will cook for her. She said okay. On the day of the meetup, I heard nothing from her. I tried texting and calling. I asked why we couldn’t meet up and her excuse seemed completely off to me. Two days later, I texted “It’s clear to me that you are no longer interested, so we will just not talk anymore.” I tried dating other people after that and even tried making new friends only to hear nothing again -_-.

Just casually hanging out, dancing, go for drives, etc for about 2 months and then one day he just stopped talking to me.
