- I burnt out. I started writing again. Same old story, rinse and repeat.
I’m trying to stop obsessing over publishing and what I can sell. Trying to stop following trends and do what everyone else is. I’m basically stuck at my full-time job, and I probably always will be, so what I really want to do now is reignite my spark. I’ve been writing since I was a little kid, and writing used to just be a fun escape for me. I didn’t care if what I was writing was too niche, or if the market was oversaturated. I didn’t even know what the market WAS back then. I just wrote for the love of it.
So if you want to know what I’ve been working on for the past couple of weeks, I talk a little about it. :)

First of all ... HOW AM I DO BEHIND IN YOUR VIDEOS... Secondly I relate to the whole trying to write to market so much... My brain never lets me just write... Without thinking if the market, even though that would be much better than not writing at all...

Oh wow, that’s awesome! It’s just crazy how fast time really moves, I love joking to my friends and saying “Smash Mouth was right, the years start coming and they don’t stop coming!” 😂 Thank you!! And you’re so right, the biggest thing to remember is to be kind to yourself. Have to take some deep breaths and remember that sometimes!
You say you have a full-time job and a one-hour-long commute.
During your one-hour-long commute, you can turn on your smartphone's voice-recorder app and record your voice, and speak into the device. Then, once you get home, you just play the recording and transcribe the recording into a word processor.
So, say you work 8 hours a day and 2 hours of commute in the morning and night. That's 10 hours.
Take away another 8 hours of sleeping. That's 18 hours away. Reserve 1 hour for breakfast prep and eating, and 1 hour of dinner prep and eating. That's 20 hours used up already, leaving you with only 4 hours of "free time".
2 hours out of the 4 hours can be reserved for Writing Time.
You can also just work until you retire, then write in your retirement years.
Nowadays, people always emphasize on the written words, the printed words in a book, instead of the spoken words. You can also do everything the old old old fashioned way and tell stories orally. That is more of a performance art, though, and it can be more of a social interaction, while writing stories is notoriously a solo activity.

Always good to see you. ^_^ But I'm sorra it's all been so tough lately. Creative ups and downs happen, and life can be a b**ch sometimes. I write only for fun, and still Iget frustrated at times, when things are hard or I don't have enough time. I wish you find your joy again, and the stories you want to tell. And I love about your channel that you are so authentic. 🥰
PS: Have been cuddling the tabby on my desk while Khaleesi made her appearance. ^_^ I find myself wanting a bigger desk - and then I realize that however big it may be, my two boys will find a ways to fill it up... 😄😺💕
