this issue of DOB is now a serious issue o. It is now very expensive to effect any correction on your date of birth, the excuses I'm getting is that if it is cheap Nigerian would abuse the process. The price now depend on where you are or who is doing it for you. It ranges from N15k to N70k

If I understand well you want to remove the middle name right? It is very simple, just go to remita.com type nimc in the search box then click the full name. Then click modification of field other than Date of Birth. Pay N500 plus VAT, print the receipt and take it to the closest NIN office to you to effect the changes. That's all.
