Thanks a ton man :) !
I'm a new game dev, just started learning unity and let me tell you that your art style is sooo impressive, unique and most importantly inspiring. Keep up the good work and one day I may make a game inspired by your awesome art style
This video really helps with art!
The art style you have is exactly the ones I enjoy :-)
I can finally colour now!
Your channel will grow,to be the one of the best for such topics! Keep working!
I love your style, and your videos are very inspiring, thank you so much for sharing :)
Learning digital painting I’ve had questions about a lot of things like layers, colors, shading, etc. I looked for straight answers being the “follow the rules” kind of person but never got straight answers. I’ve learned to color and shade a lot like how you do and I am pleased to see the amount of depth this video goes into explaining what I wish I’ve learned long ago. Thank you for the video; like pretty much all your uploads this was very helpful!
Dude your lineweight is amazing!
Fantastic! Buying a drawing tablet pretty soon.
I friggin love your videos man, best tutorials on youtube for sure

Just discovered you. You are incredibly talented and I am definitely going to be using your channel to help me learn how to make games! Hopefully some day I can make something even half as cool as this stuff
Perfect Noa, this was what I was looking for in complement of your Udemy 2D Action Game with Unity. 👌
You are the god of 2d cartoony art! Respect
Thank you, that tutorial it is really helpful
I really like your channel even though I don't make games. I think of you as a inspiration for my drawing and you really help me draw better because of your amazing tutorials
Thanks for this tutorial. I requested this for this tutorial and make it. Thanks😊😊😊
Really like this one thank you! :D
Thanks, for that video ! I learn with your game launcher courses all that I need but game art really discouraged me, but that video help me a lot, so thanks you a lot. And I'm French too.
Man, your style is beautifull
thankyou I never knew how to get the colouring to not go over the line art so thank you so much
I really appreciate this video because this is the ONLY part of game development that has given me any trouble. I'm good at code, I'm good at design, I'm good at terrain art, music, sfx, vfx, and basically everything else but I cannot create player characters and enemies that I'm satisfied with to save my life.
Amazing tutorial. Thanks a ton
HAHA HA! this profile picture (the astronaut) I created while watching this video. Thank you so much. with your tips everything is so beautiful and pleasant. my drawing skills improved by 90%.
amazing video!!!
bro i was just doodling and now because of you I have made the perfect starter enemy for my game
Great video. I'm just starting in game development, and this is something I really needed due to lack of suiting characters for my ideas, and I love this style. If you come across this comment, would you make a video showing how to animate these characters as well (or how to make multiple frames so I can make my own animation)?
I rlly like ur cartoony artstyle! I have a cartoony art style but with bold inking.
Noa your videos are gosh darn amazing
well if you got the skill then u got it good and awesome video dude love it and pleas keep it up. :D
This inspired me alot, thanks 👍
Men, your channel is amazing :)
damn your artstyle is so awesome!
Love your videos! Have been binge watching them all week. What size do you make you photoshop pages? I've started some work but then in unity i run into problems of the sprites being grainy around the edges.
Hey BTP! Big fan of your channel. One question: what are the brush properties you are using to do the art in this video? The thickness of your line seems to vary so I guess you are using a graphic tablet and use pressure to change the size of the line?
love it
it looks so easy when you do it!!!
Thank you so much for this❤
This is a great video, thanks for making it! Perhaps your could consider making a 2D character art tips video, talking about some of the rules which should be applied when drawing characters, I stuggle with that kind of thing. For example the tip about having thinner and wider lines is a really good one. Also I notice that for characters facing a direction you will tend to place the farthest away eye partly outside the character with the closer eye fully inside, and make the farther eye slightly smaller. These things are good for adding depth, I know they probably seem obvious, but as a non-artist it's taken me time to figure out some of these rules, it would be great if you could go through some of that kind of stuff in a video. Also stuff like how you decide what kind of eyes, mouths etc you use for what kinds of characters etc. Thanks!
That's a great video idea :) ! Some art tips for programmers, or best ways to practise drawing, painting... I'll keep all that in mind :) , stay tuned !
lol you 68,00 yesterday and now you have 70,000 i have never seen a You Tuber be so amazing
:)
Very interesting and useful video. Keep it up!
The fire guy looks sick
your VERY inspiring not only to digital but also for drawing paper
Thank you
I love your art style! Damn i wish i could draw like that. The crispness and colour is fantastic!!. The one thing that always seems to block my progress when making a game is the graphics and art. Was hoping you could tell me.. What resolution/size is your canvas? Also what size do you make your sprites when importing in to Unity? Is there a set size/resolution you work to?? I always have trouble figuring out what size to draw them or what resolution to use. Your videos have helped me a lot and are really motivating!
I like your art style
Hi I'm French and you have a very cool chanel! I subscribe ! Merci 😊
You can pick the colour below your mouse using ALT button btw.
Still one of my top favourite gamedev / art videos I've ever seen!! Do you sell any of your character spritesheets anywhere?
awesome stuffs
love it
Awesome!
i love your characters
If you are using a mouse or trackpad, you can take advantage of Photoshop's smoothing options(For brush and eraser tools). While my artwork is nowhere near as well as Noah's, after finding the smoothing options (I set mine to a small number like 2-4%) and particularly the 'Pull string mode', my artwork is coming along. Also, you can sample colors from your canvas, by holding down alt then clicking the color. Which I find easier than hitting the I shortcut. Scale the brush/eraser size by holding down alt, hold right-click and drag left or right. Toggle between Brush and Eraser tools by using their shortcuts: B and E. Since these shortcuts(as well as Ctrl-Z to undo) are all easy to reach with the left hand, it really makes the workflow much easier. Especially with the smoothing option enabled.
Amazing
You could also do your inking in blender 2.8 with grease pencil that way you don't have to have amazingly good penmanship as the strokes are sculptable then you can render the image with a transparent background (This makes animating Easier too)
You are going to be a big channel on youtube because of these awesome vids. +1 Sub
Thanks for the support Abdul :) ! It's really appreciated !
All these characters look so cute! I love this style!
Thank you for the tutorial.
Hallo andere random deutsche Person
I love you...I subscribed you
Hmm. I just thought of an idea: making a red outline on every aggressive mob, but no outline on the rest. And like making their outline slowly disappear when they die, to make them "convert". Might let the creatures be obvious that it won't effect gameplay, and the converted enemies seem nicer.
I dunno, I don't know squat about coding or anything, but I think this'll be a decent idea once I do. Feel free to take it, though this probably sounds cocky. Oh well. :P
ty
this is very nice
this is so awesome! Please make more 2d art tutorials. SUB
u r beyond talented dude
Thanks :) ! That's so encouraging !
When i see you'r video drawing was so easy i think ( but not ) ^^
I'm loving your style! Would a wacom intuos draw/art be good for this sort of stuff?
yes
Hey love your style man. I am also an indie game developer that occasionally upload my work to my channel lol. I was wonder if we could maybe do a video together.

Aaahhh frick that spider jumpscare killed me.
Thank you so much Noa!! I will open gimp and try to follow along. I'm really bad at art and your videos give me hope
I don't know why I did this, but you can see the result on twitter. Such a shame ... I guess at least I tried.
Hey Julien :) ! I'm really happy to hear my video helped ! I'll definitely be making more animation videos in the near future, stay tuned !
