It only took me 6 hours to print that on my PRUSA Mk.4 with input shaping. If I had a Bambu Labs X1 Carbon, it would likely only take me 3-4 hours.
Don’t cheap out on your printer.
I’m guessing he slows it down for better quality.
@@Myrtilos_Waffle The Prusa Mk.4 and Bambu Labs X1 can print at those speeds while maintaining extremely high quality prints.
Google what Bambu Labs X1 prints look like. Practically all of the prints you will see were printed at high speed. (Stock speed)
They minimize vibrations and resonance in the printer's mechanics, resulting in smoother movements resulting in higher print quality at higher speeds.
Wdym on ender 3v2 it takes 6-8 hrs for me too. Just up your print speed duh

*get it right* 🤓
With SLA printing that would be about right, layer heights in SLA are typically around 0,05mm while in FDM it's around 0,2mm. That depends a lot on the nozzle and a bunch of other stuff too though.
I literally was like “but 2 hours sounds too short but ig it’s the longest answer” only to be bamboozled and find out the actual answer wasn’t on there

I didn't even dare to go outside my room while the printer is going. Too much of a fire hazard.
@@MrNurnen does it not have Thermal runaway? I’ve printed for 4 years and my printer is constantly running for days at a time, so far it haven’t even needed thermal runaway to shut off.
@@Fluffy3DP Ha, I've ordered my 3d printer about two weeks ago. The first three jobs were small toys for my boys (they take priority). The forth job was a 19" 1U cable manager tray thing I designed myself and took about 35 hours to print in total for all components.
So all in all. I received the printer on thursday, I started the final job on saturday and I installed the shelve in the datacenter on tuesday, so only five days later. And I learned to do freecad in that same time (I already had some CAD experience from the past, so basic drawing knowledge was there)

I have 3 printers with varying speeds. I also run a 3D printing club at my school. 3D printing is so fun and I like to just leave things printing overnight and be all excited when the big 8 hour print doesn’t fail in the morning.
Ur designs r sick
I guessed 2 days, whenever i try to print an articulating thing like that the overhangs curl and my print fails
Run a few test prints and get your settings dialed then you should be fine
It's worth the time because you can just wait and do something else while making something. I have one at home and they take so long but are definitely worth it.
It’s so cool that you are showing a print that interlocks like that.
I got one of those for Christmas but it’s metallic green and a pinkish metallic as well
It’s really cool
Half the fun of 3D printing is watching the sorcery in action.
Bro gave us two questions that weren't even the answer 😂
Options*
I know a way to make big 3d prints (like ones that take over 24 hours) take alkost no time at all: Lightning Infill and and bigger layer lines. Ive gotten prints from 1 day 13 hours to just under 9 hours with this.
Think positive! It is always better than 15 hours😊

I can print 3000-6000mm/s on my Ender 3v2 using Klipper. You need to use dual accelerometers to dial in the resonant frequency and use pressure advance set properly, the right PiD settings, and the right slicer settings… all this takes days of tuning and dozens of test prints. The end result is a very high quality print in 1/10th the time or less.
Can I just say, it's not just "prints like this" that are done in layers, 3D printers work by layering the material
When the biggest option wad 2 hours I was questioning my life

the felling of rage on this question makes me rage*10
With filiment printers it depends on the foot print. A smaller footprint means it takes less time then a larger footprint.. the more intricate the layer the longer it takes per layer.
For a resin printer. The footprint only matters for if it will fit on the build plate. It takes a set time per layer so you can count the number of layers and base time off it's height.
“That means I had to take 200 photos”
Stop motion animators: am I a joke to you?
14 HOURS ISN'T AN OPTION!!! UNFAIR!!!
I have that exact same 3-D printed dragon it’s so cool
For the first question, my answer was way higher than the actual one because I know how long the 3D prints take. I have 3D printed a lot.
Gives one question that doesn’t even have the right answer as an option then asks a question that does have the answer present. Why?
Just to confuse you
-cat breaks it-
Him: so you have chosen death
Not funny
It would also take approximately 15 minutes for each layer!
Well, I have 2 printers, the Ender-3 NEO, and the FLsun V400, and yes, it is pretty fast, one day I was printing pieces for a mansion diorama, on the NEO it took 2 days to finish, while the V400 took 21 hours! So yes, I totally recommend it, but the problem is that it's kinda expensive, it cost me 1350$
Well yeah of course it’s gonna take 14 hours when you’re using like 90% infil dude what the heck lmao

My printer works at 600mm/s, creality K1, my only problem is that it’s a bit small and you really have to sift to find a good slicer for it since cura doesn’t work. (If you are using creality K1, use orca slicer, it has native support and has as many, if not more features than cura)
Yh a part I designed will take around 3 days and a few hours to print, in college 3d printers which are fast, but makin it in the workshop would be around 2 or 3 hours 😂 speed really is limiting
That dragon looks dope
I don't have that dragon but I have a full black dragon and it took twelve hours to fully get done printing and it was cool 😁
Love your kitty
the cat is so cute
worst thing is when you're printing something and you're almost done and at the last bit, it has a catastrophic failure. I've had print going strong for 20 hours and with 5% left it fails to stick to the previous layer and leaves the print exposed. Nothing more heartbreaking than printing a mini figure and the head gets a little messed up and now you need to decide if you want to restart the print or paint over it and hope it looks good,
Aaaamazing speeed🤣🤣🤣
I wonder whether such articulated prints can be done well with resin printers, because 216 layers would take about 1½ hours with my resin printer
I love the kitty
That dragon is really cool
3d printers in mindustry are damn fast ( mindustry is a game )
I have one of those and im not lying.i have a red one and my fathers friend printed it
You can get klipper and it will even speed up cheap bed slingers
For a small art like that, i don't know fast you're going to be able to push it. However, Tthe 0.4mm nozzle is good for 0.3mm layer heights. To reach 4.1mm in height it takes 14 layers. At 0.2mm layer height it takes 20 layers to reach 4mm. At 0.35mm layer height, 15 layers and you're at 5.1mm.
I just printed an articulated slug that used 300g of filament, had over 1k layers, and took three whole days on a Prusa
It all depends you couldprint it fine 0.1 or extra fast .25 and the infill density
Man I love your cat.
